I've no idea what you'd earn down there a month tbh .. up here that a a good wage but down there it's dear as ****... surely he can afford bread and milk on that?
Correct - up to £7500 for the first grant and £6570 for the second grant. Grant - as in you don’t pay it back !
You're ok in my book bro. Whatever you have or don't have, you've never rubbed it in people's faces, and I also remember when you were struggling to get help with the shopping/deliveries, you had a challenge as much as anyone else to deal with I always remember and respect the decent guys, you are one of them, even if you do have a bat shhite crazy dog
I wasn't stating whether or not it was enough as that would purely depend on personal circumstances, just that that was the upper limit on the furlough scheme. You're right about the difference in cost of living though. You can rent a 3 bedroom house up there for a can of apple Tango and a packet of wine gums.
Yup. I’m self employed and got the SEISS, which was pretty much **** all but grateful for it all the same. My business involves being at crowded events so everything was cut off entirely. I managed to do a bit of online sales but barely scratched the book. Unlike the lazy bastard jibe though some of us actually used the time productively to help out those who were in real dire straits, and I suspect I wasn’t the only one.
I dunno, like 60-90 pence? It was a tongue in cheek comment tbh mate and I think the only major difference is property prices.
could make alot of money ... I used to to that up here.. buy a pitch at a fair or event .. load up with pop from the cash and carry then flog for extortionate prices... ice cream too. people are out and the kids want stuff so you can pull their eyes out.
