Says it all that Football Leaks doesn't so much have a smoking gun about The Sheikh Mansour team's FFP dodging as a gun shop that's on fire, yet neither The FA nor Premier League seem inclined to give a ****
Uncle Roman's wealth predates Putin: he got in tight with Boris Berezovsky in the early 90s, with Berezovsky inviting him into his inner circle of chums who just so happened to also be very good friends with Boris Yeltsin This may have helped somewhat when Berezovsky and Uncle Roman bought Sibneft in the mid-90s - although by "bought" I mean "paid off a ****load of government officials so he and Berezovsky could buy the company for $100m USD each that, even at that time, seems a very small price to pay for an oil producer"
Antonio with the hat trick still think he would be a good addition to the squad...got that Jermaine Defoe about his game. 30 years old though
Norwich down with this result too. Time for Levy to pull his finger out and get Aarons (and Cantwell please!) snapped up sharpish.
Of the numerous things that make the money men getting their way Premier League restarting a complete farce, it's how some teams have clearly given up during the break and show no sign of getting out of it. Norwich, Villa and (until Dr Tottenham MD showed up) Bournemouth have all played like condemned men on the way to the gallows and Watford little better, but it's really noticeable with teams who were in the upper reaches such as ourselves, Everton and Burnley who are equally unmotivated
In the Championship though, Brentford have been relishing the restart, they're continuing to play some superb football, would like to see them in the Prem, proper footballing side. They've been a hotbed for unearthing talent in recent years too, along with the current BMW and a few others, they've sold the likes of Tarkowski, Maupay, Andre Gray, Mepham, Mawson and one or two others for decent profits.
Compare those to the one we didn't get against Newcastle. No penalties conceded all season and then those two? The first was right and the second's more questionable, despite the defender being rather silly.
Seems Lampard got Derby into a losing rut before he left. Now they can't stop!.....and they were one of the favourites for promotion. Now he's at Chelsea where the players pick themselves!!!!?
And in Spursy fashion we actually needed Chelsea to win that in the hope we can somehow resemble a football team and actually beat Sheffield to a Europa spot.
Everton start with two left-backs and no right-backs, while Wolves bench Traore, Moutinho and Jota. I think that the blue Scouse are trying to match up systems, but it looks rather odd on paper.
If they think that is hand ball then they are clearly not fit to be judging football matches. Over the last few days we have seen so many poor decisions. So what has VAR shown us? I was never a fan of blaming the referee for a poor result, I am now. VAR has clearly shown how some of the people acting as referees at the highest level of the game are clearly not up to it. In all the years I have been watching football there has only been one referee who was consistent and clearly unbiased. Only ONE in all those years and really I don't have to name him because we all agree on this. What does that tell us? It tells us why people voted for Boris, yes it tells us that the majority of human beings are truly incapable of consistent rational decisions.
