Agreed. Seems to annoy every club he goes to and was no better than Emery at PSG with an arguably better team.
I mean, he did get them to a Champions League final - their first ever. But yes, I wouldn't want him because he seems to be a loose cannon and falls out with people quickly.
Regardless of the perceived ease of their route, they still reached a CL final. You can't knock that. There's a reason why we've only reached one in our entire history. It's an extremely difficult thing to do. You can criticise Tuchel for plenty of things, but this is not one of them.
Getting to a final once is not that tricky. Look at the some of the footballing European 'filler' who've achieved that.
He's still a young manager and may get the opportunity to reach a European final again. I get you don't rate him, and there are reasons why I wouldn't want him either, but let's not just frivolously dismiss his achievements for the sake of it.
I dont get why people are hating on Tuchel. He is still fairly unproven I suppose. Bit of a risk for sure - but he may end up being another elite level German manager. My wifes family are all Dortmund fans and they thought he would have been perfect for Arsenal (before we went for Emery) If you want to look at his stats as a manager. Tuchel has managed two Clubs now with win percantages in the 60%+ range( 74% at PSG and 62% at Dortmund) I mean Allegri for all his League titles has never done anything outside of Serie A. So there's risk there too. Simeone has a terrible win % before Athletico. (35% racing, 40% Catania) Pochettinos win percentages are 54% Tottenham, 38% Southampton, 32% Espanyol. The truth is for a young manager Tuchels start to his career has ALOT been better than most top managers.
If you are counting psg as a challenge in another country then i think you are in la la land. Tuchel may become an elite manager and he did a good job at dortmund but to compare him to simeone lol based on win rates amd previous clubs (tuchel was on 40% at mainz)
Like it or not for a young manager he has a much better win percentage than Poch and Simeone did at his age. He was highly rated by Klopp as a coach. Who knows what will happen but I think he's going to be a TOP manager. Ok so he didnt win the Champions League upon reaching the final but the same is true of Wenger, Pochettino, Allegri and Simeone.
This line up today looks incredibly weak... I can’t remember a more weak Arsenal team. ugh. Cant see anything but another loss. I hope I’m wrong.
Disagree think this is a better team from Arteta than usual. And we've been good - our best 30mins in ages.
Best 45mins in aggggeeees Good to see Smith Rowe playing well - kid has good potential. Saka and Martinelli causing problems.
Well the massive positives of that half are that we actually played well, some of the better football we’ve played this season. xhaka is such an interesting character. He will have a good run of games, then revert to his old self with a red or getting into it with the fans. Then he almost needs to have a break and he comes back more refreshed and focused.
Also smith Rowe should have scored off that bellerin pass, but he’s done well. I hope he starts getting an actual run of games now.
Xhaka strikes the ball soo well he should shoot ALOT more. On the otherhand he's soo bad at tackling I always think he's on the verge of getting sent off.
This might be a stretch - but do we think it’s just a coincidence that we’ve played better when luiz and willian are not in the squad?
