https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1344638264964243460 Dear god it's all about the investment in the region now nowt to do with signing Messi, Ronaldo, gazza, harry kane
I particularly liked the bit where they described the Saudis as 'one of the worlds most credible companies'
They couldn't give a **** about regional investment and are more concerned about spending flipping great wodges of cash on top quality mercenaries. Being modern football fans I understand that. Its acceptable to sell your clubs soul for a few trophies nowadays, but to put regional investment as your main argument is laughable.
I’ve read some crap in time, but that’ll take some beating. Why don’t they just admit that they simply want someone to take over who will pump 100’s of millions into the club to allow them to overtake other clubs that are ran within their means.
They are angry at the 'corrupt premier league and big 6', because they are not allowed to join the corrupt big 6. The bullied being angry at the gang of bullies because they won't let him become a bully. They despise the gang but would love to join. Like I say, willing to sell their soul for a crack at the Champions League. Modern football.
If I had a pound for every time I've seen that thread title ... ... Louis-Dreyfus wouldn't get a look in
I have to admit I like Newcastle, it's a decent city like Nottingham, Edinburgh and Leeds ... ... big enough for various pubs & clubs but small enough to feel like a town.
The Saudis are, if you consider state sanctioned assassinations of dissidents, oppressing women, sponsoring terror in the Yemen, intimidating smaller neighbours and advocating the destruction of an neighbouring country. Not to mention 911 and the number of Saudi nationals involved and rumoured sympathy from sections of the government....
It's a city with a specific taste that appeals to students, town lads and stag nights ... ... three groups of people I really can't abide.
cant wait to see the reply something along the lines of sod off until you own the club go away and do one
Must admit, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to many countries around the world and there are many places I’d love to go back to. Whilst the centre of Newcastle is decent, I would never class it as anywhere near being one the best in the world. It’s far superior to Sunderland city centre, but that’s about it as far I’m concerned. I often wonder if mags actually travel and take notice of what they see if they do.
