We're going to see an almost immediate improvement now we have a coach and not two dinner ladies. Bruce will get the credit but it's going to be this coach that solves the problem
Am I the only one who thinks the headline "NUFC sack Bruce and replace with Bournemouth coach" s the lowest we've sunk to yet? I mean, it's a slightly worse version of giving Carver the gig. We're such a ****ing abomination of a club we can't even hope to hire managers anymore. I can't fathom how anyone thinks this is "good".
Steve Bruce, the MANAGER was chuffed to bits and celebrated it as a victory, with his petty "U NO BIELSA SAID I DID A GREAT JOB" and then a new coach comes in and goes "we need our best players on in a system that works" Jones is right ffs, we still lost, players were still out of position and the system is BROKEN.
It's so ****ed, mate. A "coach" is getting interviews published on NUFC's website, TalkSport are even talking about it, it's bewildering. His interview talks as if he's a manager coming in with ideas, I'm just utterly confused. Someone on Twitter said it was just a typical Ashley move; cheapest possible manager option, but put in place to make Bruce walk, thus forgoing his (actually tiny) severance. All to save about £1m, an amount which Mike Ashley probably made in less than a week via MASH.
It most certainly is a clear attempt to force him out. It was the "my official title is assistant head coach" bit that really, really stood out to me. So, that's NOT what his job is, clearly. I will laugh my ****ing titties off if we play a completely different system against Everton, get a result and they interview Jones after the match Bruce "na way man, it wa me like!" Btw, I don't think it's about the money. I think it's because Charnley doesn't like to cave to peer pressure or the desire of the fanbase.
I think the club have turned on Bruce, I don't think they want him to stay at all. They've just hired his replacement and given him a chance to work with the players.
Charnley takes the heat off Ashley Bruce takes the heat off Charnley Jones takes the heat off Bruce the Tea Lady takes the heat off Jones and so on, this is Ashley's policy
This is why I believe there is going to be an instant improvement and over time a significant one.. All these players simply cannot be this ****
Yeah, but that's hoping Jones isn't just a Geordie chancer, a Championship-level coach who has failed in his only managerial job. Y'know, like John Carver.
They're not this **** they have shown it plenty of times, last 20 against Leeds and beginning of the season. I like this squad a lot, they're pacey, few goalscorers in there, good attitudes when happy. We used to run for every single ****ing ball, last season every player tracked back and did their bit. They're demotivated, they're lost and they need a helping hand. I'm demotivated ffs. I have a good feeling about this coach, he's worked some brilliant jobs and clearly knows his stuff. I won't prejudge a manager who went to a newly promoted Championship side, had a rough time and got let go. He's not old and I give everyone who comes to NUFC a chance.
He might be a championship manager, yet to be seen, like I've said I don't know the situation at Luton. it seem's a bit of a mess from what I read, with Nathan Jones walking unexpectedly directly after promotion, having a massive fall out, Graeme coming in with a desire to play a more expansive attacking style and realising the players weren't prepared and then losing his job during Corona and because Nathan wanted his old job back. It seemed a bit of a ****ed up situation. But he has coached plenty of years in the Premier League with Martinez who is a better manager than Newcastle have had bar Rafa Benitez for over 10 years, he's coached some of the best players on earth in Belgium. I will hold onto this slither of positivity until it kills me. If we win against Everton with a different style, I'd go for as to say sack Bruce and give Jones the job formally.
It did come across that way. Lol. This is mental! Proper mental. And I honestly don’t care if he undermines SB.
I'm all for this, I support it 100%. I'd support it 200% if they either made the decision to sack Bruce now and give Jones a go as Interim, or if they sacked Bruce and brought in a completely different person. I think Bruce's fat sulking face needs to go.
