1-0 HT. Pretty ****ing awful all round. Conceded early and rarely troubled a compact, well organised team. The shape looks wrong, we've got very little width and we've picked up some soft, unnecessary bookings, too. I'd get Lamela off at the break and I'd be tempted to shift Hojbjerg, too. Moura needs to play wider and Tanganga has to push up.
I'd actually have a modicum more respect for Mourinho if he got himself sent off for ranting at the ref, or Dier...or anyone really.
We have been served some **** this season and this is right up there. Bloody awful from start to finish. 2 attempts on target. are we waiting til we get our arses handed to us on a plate in the Cup final before we make the necessary change to our manager? Or are we waking til we are knocked outta the EL? Or are we waiting til crowds are allowed back and there are thousands of empty seats? Sorry...have never been like this but ffs Levy needs to own his screw up and sort it out now...not at the end of the season
Lamela and Reg the only players who can walk away pleased with their first half performances. Lots of the usual dead-end runs from Lucas, who probably shouldn't have started. Son is having one of "those" games and Kane has looked worryingly uninterested. Not sure where to begin - we've been the better side in terms of possession and territory but it's AVB stuff all over again, side to side, everyone needing 6 touches of the ball to make a decision. Making it so easy for them to defend against. Also Craig Pawson can naff off. Clown of a ref.
The whole team is playing with a complete absence of confidence. We are much better than West Ham individually but they are a better team. That's down to Mourinho.
WH have done their homework on our through balls-they obviously worked on it in training. And we have no plan B. It's hard enough playing against a superior opposition but add in the inconsistency of the ref and it is impossible.
or are we still trying to work out that we need to actually win a game of football in order to be able to win a competition?
Not sure how we can change things to improve. Reggie looks rusty but it's a bit of a waste sub to change him. Hjobjerg's been our worst player but swapping in Sissoko or Winks isn't exactly appealing. In attack we have all the ingredients but no plan, it's like we're playing with a half-memory of how we played under Poch and nothing else. We're just waiting for some individual brilliance and Lamela's the only one getting close to anything like that. I've got "ref's ****" in my sig so I don't have to keep saying it each week but bloody hell this is bad, and worse, the ref seems to be gaining confidence in his **** decisions and making worse and worse ones. I'm worried about the players on bookings, I'm worried about the players not on bookings, I think we'll get a red second half.
What's the odds on Lamela And Hojbjerg getting sent off for twatting Dier for conceding a penalty for their 3rd?
Once again shades of AVB as we spend 35minutes moving the ball forward. When do you score goals? when the ball is moved quickly in unexpected directions. The way we are ****ing about from the back gives West Ham all the time they need to position their defence. Instead of trying to run trough the pack of West Ham defenders will it occur to them to let the ball move past for them.
