Good times are easy It’s the tough times that test our character If fans want to see the manager and team demonstrate their strength of character then they need to demonstrate it themselves No one is being sacked Come on you Reds
I can’t see Ralph getting sacked, I think the board have been quite clear that he’s their man for the long term and Semmens always seems to be fairly calm about it when we have bad spells. Now, if we were to lose 10-0 to City, that might force their hand, but otherwise I think the only way Ralph goes is if he quits. I just don’t think he’ll do that and I’m sure he’s mentioned before that he needs to repay the faith we showed in him by backing him after the 9-0s. He also came to us with a high reputation and, while it’s not in tatters, he needs to build it back a bit before he’ll be considered by a bigger and better club again.
I was always taught that if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. So... I think we will play well at times in this game.
Aaarrggh. I ****ing hate it when reasonable fans of the opposition come on here and say nice stuff about us. Piss off tobes, we are **** and our manager needs sacked. We are broke and all our best players want to leave. Both of them. Plus you will only win because VAR is a joke and we are the punchline. We will have two goals disallowed. You can bring down our players with a cricket bat in the box and we will get nowt but the ref will give you a pen because a stray hair wafted into Dominic’s face. I don’t even like blue. It’s been a rough couple months.
I was thinking that. Remember reading the article about the preparation that went into accommodating the team on away trips.
So the two main questions are. Who starts at RB and who starts at CM? Our only natural option at CM is Jankewitz I think, and while I don't think Ralph is scared to play him after his 70 second debut, I doubt he would have wanted to reintroduce him with another start. I guess the other option is moving Armstrong there, but as our most creative player by some distance you don't really want to move him backwards. Our only natural choice at RB is Ramsay but Ralph hasn't been keen on giving him another go since Man Utd, and our only other 'options' are CBs or Djenepo. It's difficult to be positive about our chances when this is what we have to work with. Not to mention our woefully out of form forward line.
That pitch is a pisstake. We were the first to play on it on 3rd Feb, literally only a few days after it had been laid. The ball wasn’t running true, the joins were obvious and it played like a skating rink. You can thank Levy at Spurs for it btw, as he sold them the NFL pitch that he’s not got much use for at the minute. The fact Bamford admitted to wearing rugby studs after their 2nd game on it, says it all.
I don’t have too many concerns about our forward line. Danny hasn’t been at his ruthless best recently, but he hasn’t suddenly become a bad player. And how many times has Che has the ball in the net only to be ruled out for some **** reason? I do have concerns about not having a RB, and a big hole in CM. It’s going to be another patched up side on Monday, and against a full strength Everton you wouldn’t rate out chances. I’d rip your arm off for a point and wouldn’t expect us to be too adventurous, but we have to stay in their faces and try and force the errors, because that’s the only way we can hold them off.
Fair enough. Didn't know it had only just been laid. Assumed they'd been using it for the whole season so far.
Forster Bednarek Vestergaard Salisu Djenepo JWP Armstrong Bertrand Redmond Ings Tella I'm not expecting anything, so why not try something different? It'll probably only be for one game anyway, if KWP, Diallo and Minamino are all back for Sheff Utd (fingers crossed).
Don't listen to Tobes . Sensitive sausage that he is . Never been the same since he dropped his Ewok Avatar !
Let's hope none of the likely returnees are put back in too early, it may cost us some points on the short term (we're used to that at the moment) but give us greater strength 9-10 games in to the end.
