Unfortunately the result v BOURNEMOUTH means City are still be chasing a first home win since January and deny Pearson [ our NIGE ] three points in his first game in charge in the Ashton Gate dugout. But Saturday is another opportunity against a QPR which has suffered back-to-back losses (2-1 v Birmingham; 3-1 v Barnsley) heading into this latest fixture.
Will be back at full time … 16.45 v Bourne mouth sneaked 2 looks 1 at half time must have been 44 mins! and 2nd at 90 mins …!!!
Defending like schoolboys, absolutely pathetic, good shout to take Bakinson off he has been shocking so far. Normal service so far has been resumed.
So far the full backs have been shocking especially defensively, Mariappa is having a mare so far the worst player on the field. Mariappa ball watching and totally lost a player he should have been marking for the first goal and somehow 2 players totally unmarked for the 2nd. The midfield was out muscled from the kick off only Palmer looking anything like he was going to produce anything. Semenyo really really needs to learn some composure and when to shoot and not try to walk the fecking ball in most times. Still struggling to see what Lansbury offers, I have never seen a midfielder who passes the ball straight into touch as much as he does. Unless we step it up, I can see us shipping in at least another couple of goals.
beaten by a better side who played fluid flowing football, too many of our guys were poor in possession, poor distribution and poor decision making, worst game yet by Wells
I hope that Pearson realises what a bunch of pussies he has inherited and ships them out in the summer. Hunt, Marriappa, Lansbury and Diedhiou can all do one and I don’t want to see Sessegnon back again. QPR are everything that we cannot cope with, on a bad run where they cannot buy a win and with 2 young athletic wing backs and a competitive midfield. I have never seen a defence so abject and leaving sometimes 2 players unmarked especially from corners and free kicks. Midfield piss weak again. Diedhiou not holding the ball up as usual and Wells snatching at 2 reasonable chances. Passing, crossing pathetic today, seen better on the Downs. Only Bentley, Kalas, Palmer and Pearson can hold their heads up tonight. We need to decide what Semenyo actually is, a striker, number 10 or midfielder. Well beaten today. No desire. Now Nige you must realise the size of the job you have taken on, far too many average and totally inconsistent players there are in this squad.
Would try Semenyo in the centre and give Famm a break, Kalas is a great defender but cannot distribute from the left side of defence, would be great to have Baker back soon so Kalas can revert to his best position
Oh deary me the dead cat has stopped bouncing which only proves what a bunch of time wasters we employ. I wish Nigel all the luck in the world dealing with a bunch of no-hopers and I hope he stays around to pick up the pieces of the legacy he inherited but by May he might have seen enough to realize why we are perennial non contenders. Pearson has probably already seen through the thin veneer that tries to cover up the cracks and the lazy players that we call a squad and I hope that Steve Lansdown is prepared for the real truth to appear in the next couple of months because Nigel certainly won't sugar coat his findings. Let's move on and see where he takes us this season and hope that he feels like staying the distance.
ah ha so I am not a jinx!!!!!! just seen result been in garden re constructing and painting my cold frame …. CRIKEY going through text of game saw 3 subs in first half and thought oh ho Nige being tactical early … and 3 injuries …….. FFS …………… THINK WE CAN SAY BYE bye TO top 6 now other results are stretching the elastic and void is now impossible … I think relegation is not a threat [ did work out bottom 8 teams fixtures and quite a few playing each other … 51 points should be safe , 52 & 53 were on 2 other goes ]
he might not be that aggravated? 3 injuries in first half although 2-0 down looks to be a concern!!!! so thinking on he might be a bit harsh. Cany understand the 4-1-4-1 though!
just checked back he played the same formation as S & D played v Middsbro at Swansea and we won both! has gone 4-1-4-1 and lost both!
Big changes required for next season-far to many poor to average players need shipping out. Will Nigel P want to take this task on monster challenge or will he be going to Newcastle as it seems change is going to happen there.
Just not good enough if Mr Lansdown wants to keep NP at the gate needs to ship out the deadwood and get the cheque book out otherwise Mr Pearson will be long gone.
They're only deckchairs, Pearson has no chance until he's shipped out the dross both him and Holden inherited from 4 wasted years. Glad the dead cat did its job, at least we only need another 6 points.
