Gary Neville constantly name drops Klopp as if Klopp should be the man to lead the charge. Neville also talked about YNWA - I'm sorry but that was an attack on the club and the community. He's an absolute cretin - one who is happy picking up his big wages from a company that started the whole money / greed in football,. He's happy to pump millions into a non league club which created an unfair competitive advantage to get them promoted. He's also the guy who wanted to null and void the league last season. Neville can pretend to be the voice of reason, the guardian, the saviour of football but I'm not having it. He's another snivelling little cretin, on his high horse.
I hope it's us. We folded first on furlough, followed by Spurs who, somehow, came out of it smelling like roses while we were vilified by everyone.
The one ESL makes least sense for is Man City. Their owners don't need and aren't in it for money. Can't see them being influenced by fans or players though. Our owners have back tracked a few times before because of objections but they're 100% in it for the money. Glazers are probably more money driven than FSG Chelsea? I don't see anyone influencing Roman! Spurs? Arsenal? Could be one of them. I'd guess at Man City though
Apparently Levy spoke to Brighton chief to pass on message to the other 14 that he was taken aback by the reaction and maybe they had misjudged the mood of the nation...
Sky said yesterday that the unnamed board member had said that Chelsea and city were the last to join having been persuaded late on. Maybe they have had second thoughts although I too can't see them taking any notice of the fans. Spurs claimed it was the fans that changed their mind over furlough, cute move by them trying to keep the fans onside. Maybe claiming that this time as well. Not seen as much fan disgust from anyone that compares to ours.
thats total bollocks about city and chelsea not knowing about it until recently though. This has been in the pipeline for 10 years.. and picked up pace a few years ago again
Seen plenty from Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd fans. Seen some Chelsea too. Not seen anything from Man City fans but then again, they're all pre-pubescent!
the reality is its all politics and innuendo now. a lot of people would like a club to break away and panic. so the chances of one doing so, who knows. Until it happens the safe assumption imo is its all an agenda. I do note the premier league bods have stated they want the 6 clubs to stay but "some people are not welcome any more" and some sit on committees with sensitive commercial data like tv etc. so a lot of fume but not much real data out there.
Tbf I haven't been looking at many general news sites. I have been focused more on our response. We had banners up at the ground and SOS reacting very quickly. Also ours was the first game following the announcement. When you see how passionate our fans are and the deep connection with the club, manager and players it's not hard to see why we've missed fans at the game. The connection is real.
He should have asked me first, I'd have warned him. I can't believe how out of touch these people are if they thought it would all be ok.
The irony of chelsea fans protesting about owners being greedy and the rich ruining football Wonder if those same people were protesting about Roman spending millions more than everyone else 15 years ago...
That'll mean the others will follow. The whole point was there was 6 in order to avoid PL voting rules
Chelsea pulling out.... first to cave then. Hope no one lets them off any easier than the rest just for pulling out first.
Levy lol. What a marooon as bug bunny would say. First he signs up then he sacks the manager using the announcemtn in a cynical way as he clearly wanted mourinho gone but wanted him gone MORE than spurs winning a trophy lol then he panics. lols. I mean I've seen a lot of people fired for a lot less at the top of businesses. He's managed in one fell swoop to lose all the businesses customers (fans), ruin any chance of any achievement in the year (has thrown the cup final into disarray) and probably run up massive losses. we all have to realise mr levy doesn't own spurs. he acts like he does though and thats something that is utterly amazing to me. Surely he is sacked after this.
LOL. talk about weak kneed. didn't even wait for the negotiations. A bunch of rats who would all eat each other just as much as work together.
exactly. Peoepl didn't see to get that when i wrote it yesterday. the rule is clear that 75% are needed not 14 but 15 to expel. If chelsea are after flipping then the whole house of cards falls down. However lets actually see as there can be a lot of rumour an innuendo on these things.
