There is another thread for this?? Anyhow you are wrong. Climate change will mean a big surge of seawater coming up from a spring/neap tide meeting a lot of rainwater coming down stream, the river will overflow its banks, flooding SoL and AoL. Luckily KLD was in cuckoo clock land ... but everyon else was wiped out. The funerals were very sad. Once all the debris was cleared out...and various insurance claims settled... a new team and football management were put in place. 3 years later Sunderland won the Premier league and the year after the Champions League. The year after that Sunderland turned down the chance to be part of a super league...saying they knew where their roots lay. PS It is quite easy to spout bollocks once you start.
Blackpool's bubble appears to have burst. Beaten at home to Shrewsbury on Sat and back to back defeats now We have to take advantage and get out of this ****ing tailspin
It’s got to be a win. Six games without a win. Six wins on the bounce. I wish lockdown would end and the dreams get back to normal.
I did that forecasting thing 3 or 4 games ago and we came out 7th! Thought it was a load of rubbish at the time, but now...? Sorry to be a wet blanket but I’ve got a horrible feeling. And it isnt last nights beer!
I see Hawkes has scored another today for the u23, surely he should be on the bench at the weekend considering how many chances we are wasting? Obviously won’t be involved tomorrow like.
Don't get the hate for Scowen mind, thought he was really good first half and was excellent against Hull. He is another who benefits big time in a 3 man midfield, as does Leadbitter, baffling Johnson can't see it like.
Scowen, is our new Honeyman, but not as good, he buzzes around a lot, linking play, interceptions and tackling.. ..an important cog in the team. Dan Neil not a look in.
Well, Blacpool need to win it, arguably more than we do. Our mental resolve (after saturday) is highly dubious. Im therefore expecting defeat............ Sorry and all that
Are you safcforever in disguise. Amazing negativity mate Fantastic post RTB. These will be a huge miss over the summer. Perhaps you could start a series of 'who are we going to sign this week' threads I've gone for the win, though I'm not confident. Just hoping the bad bubble will burst. 2-1 to the Lads.
I see that Blackpool are another of those teams that have gone on a bad run after playing us with 2 x defeats. I wonder how it works playing us again so soon. Will they have a great performance and then lose their following games.
that starting line up is no good we need 4-4-2 Stewart and Wyke up front and Diamond starting O Nien out of defence for good, (but cue Flannagan's call up !)Sanderson being out i thought would be bad but this is awful. we just let teams play with acres of space, he better get it right or there are good managers out who can. Blackpool poor form means we HAVE to beat them tomorrow.
Well done for your continued dedication @RTB I'm going for a 3-1 win with goals from Wyke x2 and Jones
We'll get out of our rut with a ruthless performance and 3 points, just like we should have sone on saturday.
Can Sunderland clinch a play-off spot tomorrow? Yes! Great. How? They must beat Blackpool at the Stadium of Light. Without that, they will have to wait until the weekend at the earliest. Is a win against Blackpool enough? Not quite. Sunderland would have 76 points and mean that Oxford could no longer catch them but would still need some help What kind of help? Assuming Sunderland win, they will still need one of two results to go their way. Either they will need Portsmouth to drop points at Accrington Stanley, or for Charlton Athletic to lose at home to Crewe. That would mean that Portsmouth and/or Charlton would not be able to overtake Sunderland, and - with Oxford also out of the running - the Black Cats would be guaranteed a play-off spot. Is that the only way they can be sure of a play-off place tomorrow? Mathematically, yes. But if Sunderland win and Charlton draw, that would also almost certainly be good enough.
