Mate, I think those figures are decent for the premier league nevermind the championship. I haven't checked mind.
21,000 season ticket holders but capacity likely to be capped at 10,000. How are they going to sort it out? Will be frustrating not knowing which home games you are going too etc., I wonder if there’ll some kind of bubble like situation again? So either everyone in your bubble gets to go, or none at all? I think judging by the amount of season tickets sold, people expected normality on June 21st, such a shame
Absolutely no chance whatsoever of that I’m afraid. I guess my 10K cap is on the pessimistic side, if it’s say 50% we are laughing as that’ll mean all season ticket holders certain of a seat, If its 10K, 25% or a third full it’ll be very divisive though, especially if executive box holders and their entourage get priority to the detriment of season ticket holders.
If there are more season card holders than any capped capacity then card numbers (or likely bubbles) should be drawn at random and given first refusal. Work out an allowed percentage for both season cards and corporate so it’s equal. There’s no other fair way of doing it. Some will argue that holders for last season who renewed should be given priority but i don’t think that will be fair. Anyone who has renewed or bought a ticket for the coming season knows fine well that the capacity might be capped. So it’s a clean slate again. Refunds for everyone else on a per game basis I reckon. That’s how I would do it anyway.
Yeah that does sound good, the refunds on per game basis will cost clubs a fortune mind, I think there’s more doubt than next season will be finished than the one just gone, having some fans in is arguably worse than having none, particularly if it means clubs can’t apply for support from the government, furlough is due to end totally 30th September but I presume that’ll be extended till Spring next year at the earliest.
Only those who've been vaccinated twice should be allowed...as shown on the NHS app. Passport for footy.
Would be very divisive and openly discriminate against young and healthy people. I’m kinda regretting renewing now, deep down I knew it would be capped attendance and closed November-March and capped attendance again end of the season, but still renewed. I’m 25 and can’t see stadiums being allowed to be full again in my lifetime, booked a vaccine in but wondering what the point is .....
Sounds good as long as everyone is offered the second vaccine in time…I’m not sure of that despite our inglorious leaders saying how brilliant the vaccine rollout is. I’m 41, booked my appointment as soon as I could for the first one but still waiting for my second.
21,000 as of the fans meeting end of May, probably closer to 22,000 now, though no one in their right mind will buy one now it looks like restrictions not getting lifted in 2021.
