Absolutely and was Rice even on the pitch? I can't remember the commentator even mentioning his name. Now for Southgate talking pyschobollocks.
Kane was on his heels cos he just never received the ball early enough I’ve never slated Southgate before but it was screaming out it change the formation and take off rice or the nameless **** And let Foden and mount take control and give Harry the service he needs James was a joke at rb and shaw no better at lb Sterling was just ****e as usual
Yeah, Mount made a couple of great through balls first half and did **** all else. His tracking back was rubbish too (only noticed cos Mings and the panel pointed it out). While the 'remain nameless' was good last game, he was crap today. One of the panel pointed out we don't need two defensive midfielders. I agree with that, but that's Southgate, don't think he'll change. Must say with half an hour to go, was looking round for leaders with Maguire, Henderson, Walker and then Kane missing. Even if it's not our best team, we have to consider that.
you have to look to italy they were gone for half a decade, not qualifying to the world cup all their old'star's retired but they got mancini in, they are completely in sync, england invidivually have great talent, i'd certainly say on par with current italy but it's night and day england have no cohesion, it's like no one knows what to do, poor runs, headless chickens its the manager, it needs a far better manager
Southgate is a middle-class Tony Pulis. Sterling barely makes the 26 in my opinion, let alone starts ahead of an in-form Sancho, Grealish, Rashford or even Saka. Under no circumstances does Sterling deserve to start against the Czech Republic. If we're playing a 4-2-3-1, we should move Mount deeper next to Rice and drop Phillips. We need someone to carry the ball or pass it forward to the attacking three behind the striker and Rice and Phillips are too similar and constantly play lateral passes. Sancho on the left, Grealish down the middle and Foden on the right.
Neville making some good points James and shaw inexperienced Trippier and Walker full of it pleased for Pickford played the pass of the game to Sterling
And he likely never will. A uninspiring yes man with zero ambition who retains his job based purely on his 'nice guy' persona. England have had some unbelievable talent in the last 15 years but he's been handicapped at international level by dogshit dinosaurs like Southgate, Hodgson etc. A manager who plays two defensive midfielders, initially took four right-backs and can't motivate a team that includes Sancho, Grealish, Foden, Mount, Kane, Rashford etc. to score against ****ing Scotland doesn't deserve the job.
Look on the bright side this could be his final campaign. Rice good player..international quality? No Mount good player..Goes missing too often Sterling..gets bogged down Kane...knackered. Phillips. Was he playing? Zero width. We're not good enough...end of.
England manager Gareth Southgate speaking to ITV: "I think it was a frustrating night, we know we can play better. Got to give Scotland credit they defended valiantly and played well. We didn't do enough to win the game but after that the thing we have to worry about in tournament football after that is we had to make sure we didn't lose it. We know it's a disappointment for our supporters, but we have to dust ourselves down and move on." Steve? Is that you, mate?
