Match day week 8 and a trip to Leicester. Last match of this away fixture ended 2-all draw in December 2020. And the last home game to Leicester in May ended in 2-1 defeat for us. These type of match should be near sure 3 points for us. However, according to the gospel of Christiansmith, we must acknowledge that we are a mere Top 4 team as the manager can’t control how the players play once he puts the team out. And the wisdom of Master Diego also teaches us that we must never become entitled knts. So, here goes… a day of zero expectation. May the winning force return to us as our superstars take a 100 mile short flight to Leicester. And when all is said and done, may glazerfodder return to the fold for us.
Really need Sancho to kick on now. I’m desperate to see what he can do to make a difference in this team. Greenwood has cooled off too of late. Hopefully this is the day that team can pull together convincingly.
Rashford on for Sancho. Amazing that we spent all the time chasing Sancho but now that we have him we clueless on how to utilize him.
Have a good day everyone! 4-2 it will end if e we don’t concede another one. Maguire should get another pay rise after this game. Fantastic performance all round!
If we're mid table by then do you think the penny will drop? Look at my sig. That was from nearly 12 months ago. A year. Same applies as far as Ole is concerned, and some supporters unfortunately. We're not getting carried away. No mate, you're not. Far from it. He/they don't think we're good enough and it's self fulfilling. It's ****ing bollocks. Christiano Ronaldo is in our squad for **** sake!! How can they aim so ****ing low?
It's embarrassing. You bring back Ronaldo, and you serve up this ****e. I can only imagine what he must be thinking. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the players lose belief in Ole... if they haven't already. To think the season started with talk of him being ready to lead us to a title challenge and this is what he's delivered And fwiw those still backing Ole are putting the man before the club.
It comes back to the same old question which, curiously, no one cares to answer. If not Ole then who and, most importantly, why. Don't just reel off ****ing ZZ, Conte and any other unrealistic contenders, provide considered and reasoned answers for debate and we're off, we can talk sensibly discussing the pros and cons of each candidate - but don't come on here with a big mouth and no answers., Any ****ing idiot can moan like their granny - but having a sensible answer to the question is the key.
Only people with a good understanding of the game could come on... even a year ago, and say Ole was not good enough But in answer to the question, I'd go for Poch. Prise him away from PSG. It won't take much, he'd leave them to come to us no probs.
If he loses at home to Liverpool (again) I don't see a way back for him, he's ridden his luck for nigh on 3 years now but it looks to be over.
I think we need to stop worrying about who's available and go for who we want. The fact ZZ and Conte are being talked about only because they're available is precisely the bollox that's got us into this situation over the past 7 years. We're MUFC ffs, go and bring in who you want. I'd like to see Poch in the prem playing his brand of football with a quality squad and a budget to build the team he wants. He's relatively young as well so for me it would be a long-term appointment.
