So he did, long time ago now. I desperately wanted him to become our goal scorer but have kind of given up now.

I think the Echo actually picked it off this web site rather than looked at the training pics which would actually border on sensible research.

BTW is Ralph playing mind games? In the presser he suggested it was good to have JWP back, almost intimating he would go straight into the team. He also said Lyanco will get another chance 'in the future'. Then claimed Stuey and Ely both available for selection. I think he likes to mislead...

I think it could be match day. The answers to so many questions will soon be known.

Didn’t see any of the Chelsea game so reading the comments here it’s good to hear how well Lyanco and Diallo played

As much as we’d all like to see some experimentation Ralph doesn’t tinker much these days so the Cap’n will undoubtedly start, as will Macca and Bedders

I really don’t want to see KWP at LB again as Perraud is improving and having a dominant left foot is essential unless you’re Denis Irwin

Places up front are in a constant churn currently and I wonder why Tella isn’t getting a shot. Got to start with Stu and Redders and I think AAs energy might help the press

Final place goes to Tella, Che, Shane or Moussa, probably the latter, I’d prefer the former

Theo will wonder why he’s not starting after we all kept chanting his name at St Mary’s

We will either win or lose by a goal or two or draw

I'm not nervous, but I suppose I am a little anxious. Important game for both teams, which could go either way. Including this with the previous two league games:

WDW = Very pleasing set of results
WDD = Solid if unspectacular set of results, slight hint of "what if" regret
WDL = Concerning (but not disastrous) set of results, and would put pressure on needing to get at least one win from Villa and Norwich

Probably couldn’t have picked a worse time to play Watford on the back of a big win for them. Would take a point now

We played Chelsea on the back of an even bigger win for them, and that didn’t turn out too bad.

They're also coming off the back of an utter trouncing in their last home match.

Slight difference between Chelsea battering Norwich and Watford battering Everton.

Watford looked useless against Liverpool the week before, then put in a performance like that. New manager bounce could be a thing and every team in the league will have circled “Southampton (H)” as a fixture they should be winning

Nathan Redmond has created 18 chances this season. Our next top player for that is JWP with 12.

    Just a thought.

(He's also made the most assists with 3 as well).
