Not up to scratch with the rule changes. But if that's a penalty by law then we all might as well just pack in.
The game that most of us fell in love with is largely ****ed and long gone imo. It's very close to becoming a different 'sport' soon.
I have argued your 'frame' point about offsides for ages now. A mate of mine does camera work... still and movies. He is a football fan as well. He always told me that from the moment a foot hits the ball until it releases, ie there is daylight between the ball and foot, is in your terms a few frames. That must, in the player moving fast, deemed offside, be at least several inches... ie a grey of what I would say benefit of the doubt.
people might argue the point but i was basically an 'early pioneer' in digital movie-messing-about-type-sh1te...back in the day when it all took ages to set up and then you took a vacation while it rendered...careful timing of the shot you choose can make enough difference, not done any video editing for a good while but it is very much the same as it was, no doubt some will now say with the latest gear it is possible to pinpoint the exact moment, well you always could but a couple of frames forward or backward can still make enough of a difference.
Ipswich got everything they deserved with that penalty. They'd been in the ref's ear all game and surrounded him at every opportunity. Even when we had players booked they were at him, like a pack of dogs, demanding a red. They were instrumental in getting Johnson booked. After the penalty was scored they were arguing with the linesman and surrounded the referee at the end. Balls to them, they lost.
Yep...I reckon we had two good shouts for a penalty on Stewart that he ignored, but he gave one, that was at least in my eyes, soft. So it evened up... Happy for the 3 points...
I thought they got away with at least 3 yellow cards yesterday - some of our tackles were just as bad as theirs but the ref couldnt wait to give our lads cards.
Same as for Kane, I watched the TV VAR replays and thought how like our penalty was. If ours was a penalty so was Leeds
You make a very good point... I reckon Stewart had two good calls for a pen. ... perhaps the useless ref felt guilty in getting it wrong previously. Johnston was given a yellow card for protesting.
