The group one winning colt khan wins over hurdles at Ludlow before being retired to stud. Never heard the like.
Too hard trying to finish 6th in an Irish qualifier - they only have 2 (one over Christmas at Leopardstown and one at Punchestown at the end of the month). Seems strange the Irish only have 2 qualifiers ................. but have won the last 6 finals
Ah Punchestown qualifier not cancelled but already held in November - result here. Fat Jockey have a thread for the 2022 final here The 6 remaining qualifiers are: 15/01/2022 Warwick 28/01/2022 Huntingdon 08/02/2022 Musselburgh 13/02/2022 Exeter 19/02/2022 Haydock 24/02/2022 Chepstow Elliot had 4 of the first 6 at Punchestown but only Dunboyne from the Leopardstown qualifier so he still has a few to get in Dallas Des Pictons is my fancy.
Never even knew there was a horse called Mr Fred Rogers! That's how much I know about Irish racehorses!
Is the FOB horse very nicely treated on 140??? His last run was at Grade 1 level. I'm sure though that they wouldn't want to win on Saturday and then get a hike on that figure. Looks just like the sort of horse that you would want to finish 6th and get 2-3 pounds knocked off the old perch. Dunboyne was the eyecatcher last month but surely there should be something in the rule book (I know there isn't) about him running in another qualifier when already qualified. Not cricket in my opinion. Colonial Dream's hurdling mark is 4 lbs below his fencing one. Which is noteworthy.
