1.30 GALOPIN DES CHAMPS - Has looked so impressive this season 2.10 No strong fancies . SIRE DU BERLAIS can run well again but I think ALAPHILLIPE will just edge it 2.50 ALLAHO but given a good run for his money by Conflated. Melon would have been an each way option had there been enough runners 3.30 Most open renewal for years. I am going for CHAMP each way. Biggest danger possibly Klassical Dream 4.10 Very competitive. I am going for THE GLANCING QUEEN as well as my annual each way bet on SPIRITOFTHEGAMES 4.50 With Brandy Love a non runner I think this is a big chance for DINOBLUE 5.30 Each way bets on FRONTAL ASSAULT and AINT THAT A SHAME
Yesterday was a write off. Picks were terrible. Hoping for a McManus day today Day 3: 1:30 - Bob O 2:10 - Tullybeg / Sire Du Berlais in McManus Acca/L31 2:50 - Janildil in McManus Acca/L31. Annoying about the 7 runners 3:30 - Champ in McManus Acca/L31 4:10 - Grand Paradis / Fancy Foundations 4:50 - Dinoblue in McManus Acca/L31 5:30 - Mister Coffey / School Boy Hours in McManus Acca/L31
I’ve got Bob Olinger in a couple of bets still open so I’m hoping he wins the first. An ew lucky 15 and a few singles again for me today. 2.10 Winter Fog 3.30 Thyme Hill 4.10 Imperial Alcazar 5.30 Mister Coffey Have a good day all, all the very best with yours
The Cob 14.10 The Cob ran in the Albert Bartlett last year where he was outclassed but not disgraced. first time up this season, second to Pileon and is six pounds better of here. Last time out at Sandown he led a quality field for a long way, before keeping on for a good fourth at the finish. This horse relishes soft ground and with not much pace in the race could show up well on the front end.
Looking at the mares novice hurdle, one I think is overpriced is Elliot's Say Goodbye at around 22/1. She finished 2nd to Party Central (who is 5/1 2nd fav today) last time at Leopardstown and was doing all her best work at the finish. Say Goodbye is 5lbs better off with that rival today and the stiffer track should play to her strengths. I've backed her e/w with SkyBet (5 places) and am very hopeful of a place.
In addition to the ones I put on here last night I have had to have a fiver each way on CHINWAG at 40/1 in the Plate....just something nagging at me about it.
Me too, done a £1 ew lucky 15 today: 2.10 Ballyandy 12/1 4.10 Wishing and Hoping 33/1 4.50 Say Goodbye 25/1 5.30 Glenloe 12/1
Like Chan, I really do hope Thyme Hill can make the big one today (15:30). He really deserves a big win after his great efforts in top-class stayers' races. Backed him at 5/1 (e/w because the competition is so darn fierce today!) Have a good day guys!
How many times is that now that Mullins has had a race at his mercy only to come a cropper at the last.
Hope the horse is ok - walking a bit gingerly but thankfully walking. He was spectacular, had Bob Olinger well cooked and it was a great leap at the last really. How very unlucky.
Glad GDC is up alright. Desperately unlucky there. Townend didn't look to do anything wrong, the horse just didn't land right. Made the forecast and trifecta half decent so a good betting start to the day
Third Wind has just a squeak of a chance if, and it's a big if, he decides to settle. If he doesn't , no chance. Competition from Irish runners couldn't be tougher though. Fascinating Pertemps Final, for sure!
