People pick and choose if or when they will believe a newspaper article. I’ve seen someone criticised for sharing a link to a specific newspaper, saying that it couldn’t be relied on. A few pages later, on the same thread the same complainant “LIKED” a comment, from someone else linking to the same paper. ****ing hypocrisy rules.
Sorry, but I can't take anyone seriously whose surname you would shout just as you pulled a white rabbit out of a top hat. Kaaaaaaajumba! please log in to view this image
Which says it all, really (and would also indicate that Ralph has done a good job keeping this squad in the PL, but I realise that's unfashionable to believe).
If anyone would like to know quite how mental our fanbase is, some people are suggesting Southgate as a replacement for Ralph. Thank god the fans don't run the club.
This supports my view that we have a bang average squad of players. It should also be a massive incentive for them to play out of their skins to avoid relegation because if we go down then most of them won’t be getting picked up by a Premier League team of any note. To use an Adkins phrase - “Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work had”. Having said that Liverpool could be as lazy as **** and still win the game with a flash of talent.
Just a reminder to people who think Salisu is utter turd. That tackle on KDB was incredible. 2 years to the day since we signed him.
There have been more than a few games when commentators have said that he is like a ball magnet, being in the right place at the right game. Like goal keepers, when CBs make errors they often lead to goals against. It goes with the territory and we can just hope that he can minimise the errors through better concentration.
I’ve been saying this for a whiiiiiiilllllllleee. We have Theo Walcott, Yan Valery and Jack Stephens for God’s sake. Last season I felt we could have parted with any player in the squad, bar the double-barrel boys(tm). Nothing about that has changed really. All the players from that time are still totally upgradable. The bad thing is, as we’ve seen, it’s very hard to get rid of players once they’re on contracts but nobody else wants them either. I still think we’ll have a really busy last few hours this window.
I'd imagine there are a lot of loans where we're picking up salary in our future. I could see a club getting itchy around the deadline and paying a small fee for Redmond, but none of the others have any real market, and why would they?
Agreed, most of our surplus to requirement players will have to be loaned out with a wage contribution as no one at Championship and below clubs will afford their wages. Most will have to be moved on for free when their contracts run out sadly
