You’re probably right mate. He clearly loves it here like. His dad was in the away end at Norwich and Neil’s face when he spotted him whilst celebrating at the end was absolutely superb. What a feeling for his dad and family man. The dream really. I’m proud as punch every week watching my son at U9’s level on a Saturday morning never mind your lad starting week in week out for SAFC… Class. I hope Dan Neil is here for many years.
Away working this week, out of touch. Just seen this. Superb news. Most know what I think of Dan Neil. The boy is already top quality and getting better. Brilliant business by the club and I can look forward to watching him play in the future. Over the moon.
Young lad living all of our dreams and doing a great job can’t understand why anyone would be on his case
I think there only seems to be one poster that really has a problem with Neil, he described the lad as having a pea for a heart, problem is this stems from when Donald was trying to sell him as he was desperate for cash, Dan Neil refused to go, what that shows me is true belief in his own ability and desire to play for his boyhood club, that is someone with real heart. If upsetting Stewart Donald is the only thing he's done wrong, for someone to use this as a reason to be insulting towards the lad shows what kind of shallow person they aren't, and I'm really not surprised how much flack they receive from other posters
Look I don't have a problem with Dan, not if he earns his place and puts the graft in. The young Man and he is a man, he knows what he needs to do, He doesn't need me or anyone off here to tell. But notice his improvement lately.
I think the fact he plays nearly every week tells me he's earning his place, the fact the club have just given him a new contract shows he's doing the right things, yet you have stated he's just not good enough and has the heart of a pea, it's all about opinions that everyone is entitled to, however I struggle to see were there is any evidence of that, what part of his performances suggest he has the heart of a pea
When was this? Doesn't surprise me like, that ****er would have sold his own grannie to pay the bills and avoid dipping his own hand in his pocket
I bet he is one of Mowbrays first name on the teamsheet mate. His performance level this season has been very high. It is not recent. The club knows his value, and I know other clubs, in the premier league, see him as a high value player. I suggest we just enjoy such a brilliant player while we can, he is likely to grow beyond us in the next year or two and it will be another we watch from afar hoping he wants to come back and do us a favour in his twilight years. The lad is the real deal, and in football terms he is a lad really.
Please read back other posters who have said similar. he went through a period where he just did not do enough, please also remember its just my opinion.
No, an idiot like yourself, knows nowt and he spouts cos he thinks he is clever. At least i give an opinion, it may not be correct, but it's my opinion. PS, i hope Dan plays for England while still at SAFC.
Before he broke in to the first team, around the same time they were selling any kid they could get money for.
Aye, remember those times - Mumba, Greenwood, Hugill, Pye, Stephenson Donald selling the family silver just to pay the leccy bill
For that alone, the wretch that is Donald should never be forgiven. A venal, deceitful and cowardly opportunist.
