Eddie, how did you know Must have known I had Addicks -1 and Rotherham -1 doubled up. I have a lot to thank Danny Green for
I don't want a goalscorer who wastes his time chasing the ball in midfield, I want him in front of goal ready to let rip. BWP has done just that. He has'nt scored for a bit but every striker goes through a bad patch. However, given the choice between off loading BWP or the wurzels who annoyed him on twitter, the wurzels can do one as far as I'm concerned. Personally I would'nt currently sell the lad for silly money (5million +)as I regard him as essential to our promotion push. As a wise man has already said on here, we wanted a 20+ goalscorer and finally one comes along. A lean spell by him is'nt exactly hurting Kermo, and mark my words, he'll be back amongst the goals before long.
I'm sure he knows that 95% of us love him (well, I hope he does), but maybe a sign that we fully support him is in need. A nice big chant of ''he's better than Shaun'' as soon as we kick off should do it! If he was forced out, then I would have a doubt about us maintaining the automatic promotion spots. There aren't many goalscorers out there that clubs are willing to listen to offers for.
He has a top league 2/lower League one team there. Credit to his recruitment process... Craig Fagan Andrew Davies Matt Duke Ritchie Jones Ricky Ravenhill Kyel Reid Marcel Seip All of those have/could/should be playing in a higher league.
Fagan and Duke looked decent enough in the Premiership, but would say they are Championship standard. Andrew Davies was a good youngster at Boro - don't know much about him since, but I imagine he would still be good enough for the Championship (even think the Eagles had him before Bradford). The rest are good enough for League One. It's not a bad team he's put together. Its interesting to note he's worked with many of his recruits before, so you get an idea that people enjoy playing for him.
The magnificent Victorian Town Hall, a scaled down version of The Prudential Building in High Holborn, The National Media Museum and Sheikh's Curry House to name but four... That was the sort of thing you were thinking of, isn't it H?
Thank you Tewkes for putting me right, as I had rather thought of it akin to being sent to the Russian Front (no offence intended)
Can only speak for the ones I know, but Reid wasn't good enough for League One, he proved that last year with a series of inept performances with the occasional stroke of brilliance that convinced some he deserved his place. Seip is an absolute joke of a defender and how he gets a game anywhere continues to baffle. And Davies is one of those that will never be quite good enough. I thought Parky got a rough deal in the end, he stopped a rot and we were doing ok, but I firmly accept there was no way we were going up with him in charge, and not sure he knows how to improve a team...
What's wrong with seip? The season before when he was at b'pool he looked a good defender. I also remember him from herenveen with hunterlaar and samaras and he was solid! Davies I don't know- I just remember him being a very good prospect, and they were unhappy when he left.
