please show me a team that has ever recieved a trophy for finishing third in the premier league. If not please **** off. Thank you.
I thought you'd gone to bed, Gaf? Can you please stop crying on our board now, as it's become extremely tedious.
Ignoring all the arguing...fair result I think. Good luck on the rest of the season, got a few tough fixtures coming up...hope you beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd. Will probably see some of you on this board anyway when I give my weekly hug to HIAG.
I repeat... 2004: Liverpool finish fourth in the Premier League 2005: Liverpool win the Champions League Still not grasping this, are you? If you finished fifth, you wouldn't have been in contention as you hadn't earned the right to compete for it. If you can't get your head round this concept, you're the one who can **** off. And we won't say thank you for doing so, we're telling you outright - **** off. Nobody gives a goddamn what you think, so shut the **** up and get your moronic turd self the **** off our board.
Yes and good luck to you also,at last a Liverpool fan who hasn't come on here just to cause trouble.A draw was the fairest result.
**** the silly Mousers, why on Earth wasn't Suarez sent off for kicking Parker in the stomach when he went for a header? And why on Earth wasn't Skrtl the Turtle sent off for scything Bale at the knee cap? Yet Bale jumping out of the way of a leg cruncher from Kelly was a booking? Disgraceful. That said, Liverpool had the best of it and we missed 'Arry more than anyone on the night.
I had to wade through far too many Mouser wum posts to get to this point. So, putting all the moronic and juvenile Mouser comments to one side, I'm happy with that result. Yet again, our performance betrayed the lack of Harry's influence in the dressing room, tonight. I think it was telling that the two players who seem to thrive most on Harry's guiding influence - Bale and Moddy - both had difficult games, whereas our defence, and particularly Scotty, were fantastically solid. At last, we look like we have the kind of defence that can get us draws when our attacking options fail. Last season, when we couldn't score the goals, we always seemed to leak a goal. It's never easy for us going to Klanfield, and the Mousers were in jubilant mood with the return of Suarez, and the presence of a fully fit Gerrard. On paper, this was one of our difficult games, and yet we came away with a point. It wasn't pretty, but we kept a clean sheet against a side that recently beat both Manc clubs. Let's be under no illusions, though, that if Harry is banged up, we will continue to struggle as we did tonight. It was his sparkle that was missing for us, and I'm sure that he could have turned things around for us at half time. The main thing is, we avoided a defeat, and have maintained the 7 point gap over Chelsea.
Walker deserves a mention with some fine defensive work against a team full of bruisers and spoilers without a cutting edge, Bellamy, Kuyt & Gerrard excepted. Bale was certainly disrupted with the treatment he recieved. As many have said Parker was very fine and just looks like a proper footballer he could have played in any era. Skrtel nasty piece of work he could easily have broken Bales leg with that challenge, a straight red if ever I saw one. Away from home with an injury list as long as your arm and no Harry a draw can't be bad.
Walker was poor going forward but kept Bellamy in his box. Bellamy resorting to hacking him early on just demonstrated his frustration and his ****ishness, of course.
Good result for Spurs, considering we had seven key players out injured and Harry stranded at the airport.
'if finishing third is your ambition, good luck to you. I have never seen a trophy awarded for third place.' That was my original quote. If you don't understand the concept that you win **** all for finishing third, you are more stupid than I thought. Leaving aside CL qualification(which I am perfectly aware you will achieve IF you finish in the top 3) I was under the impression professional sport was about winning, and not finishing 3rd?
