By George you're not! Terry-gate gets crazier and crazier. And on the same day 'arry's acquitted an' all!
He made his position un-tenable by openingly criticising the FA and standing by JT. Not too upset he's gone, give the job to Stuart Pearce, gives him a chance to bring up some of the youngsters so that theyre ready for the next world cup
I'll bet that Terry is so conceited he probably feels flattered that Capello has quit because of him, the Prick...
Leaving aside the issue of whether Terry should have retained the captaincy or not, I find it incredible that the decision to remove him appears to have been made by the FA and not Capello. Surely he must have been consulted before the announcement? If this isn't the case, then I have sympathy for him, regardless of whether you agree with that decision or not. Taking this out of his hands made his own position untenable and he had to go. His comments this week made it inevitable. Having said that, his appointment as England manager cannot be considered a success. Frankly, he has failed to take England any further forward than Eriksson. Everything looked really good during the World Cup qualifying campaign. But then the tournament itself was nothing short of a disaster. Strange selections. Odd tactics. Terrible results. His reinstatement of Terry as skipper was silly and misguided. There is no other credible candidate than Redknapp and perhaps, just perhaps, we have a better chance of advancement with 'Arry.
Ãber no ones removed capello, he resigned. £6m a year contract, waste a waste of money No one comes out of this with any credit, the FA or Capello and surely now JT cannot be selected for the squad
Terrys ego claims another victim, if he removed himself from the captaincy, none of this would have been an issue. Hopefully the new man wont even select him.
The problem with putting Stuart Pearce is he is in charge of the GB team for the Olympics, so not sure he can do both. BBC News are suggesting Trevor Brooking or Peter Taylor as interim Manager as they are already involved with the FA. I think Curbs could do a short term job. NW is on line right now and he is saying he is delighted and could only see us failing at the Euros under Capello. Doesn't sit on the fence does he. Suggesting that 'arry does it part time until after the Euros.
If Harry takes the job, who are Spurs going to look for to replace him? Paul Lambert perhaps? Just so long as they don't look in our direction.
