I've said we need a midfielder. Someone with a presence about them to compliment the brilliant Drinkwater and the hardworking James. Someone who could shield the back 4.
This season we have had Aluko, Brady, Chester, Dudgeon, Quinn, McShane all out for long periods of time. Most of whom would start if fit, so even if you think your squad is close to good enough you have to account for injuries as well.
It will also be intersting to see NPs transfer strategy. His early season first mover history will be tested. We may also be in for the same player...who would you play for...Steve Bruce or Nigel Pearson ???
I think Nigel Pearson will struggle bringing in a proper top level striker in, and that will be what hampers Leicester.
Both Leicester city AND Hull City will stay up next season. Burnley Palace and who ever wins the play offs will go down
What makes you think that? We're the top scorers in the Championship, if I were a striker i'd love to play in our side.
I think you will be just fine next season. Lets be honest if your not one of the top 7 then everyone else will be battling relegation.
Nugent is a top Championship striker, but given his previous exploits in the top flight, he's hardly going to set the league alight. That said, a few of our fans were knocking Boyd but he has settled well and is deserving of his place in the team. Wasilewski will get the most red cards ever, he always stuck me as a ticking time bomb sort of player. I think you will stay up, but only if you buy wisely.
I am sure Drinkwater and James already get plenty of compliments. They would probably appreciate any signings who would complement them though.
Last year Watford were the highest scorers. Cardiff were second highest and Crystal Place third highest. We scored 5 less than Peterborough who were relegated. I wouldn't use goals scored in the Championship as any indicator of things.
Nobody knows how Leicester will fair, we made good signings that added to a well disciplined team with great spirit and have had a good season providing we stay up. Leicester like cardiff have been a class above the rest of the championship but everything changes next season, style of play may need to change against certain teams and no doubt there will be new players coming in. I think its been proven by Bruce,Pulis and Mckay to an extent with Cardiff's early prem displays that discipline is key for the promoted teams so on that basis I think Leicester have a great chance given the way Nigel sets his teams but it could easily go the other way again in a similar fashion to Cardiff
