I am not one of 'He has x number of games' brigade but I do really think time is running out for MM to show we can improve our home form, which is key to us surviving and hopefully progressing in this league. Despite the second half setback against Gillls we have showed signs of having more of a threat going forward this year. However the defending as a team has been calamitous at times. The home crowd (or at least the one left) have been very patient but I think the worm will turn if we go down to a heavy defeat on Saturday. Come on lads, lets see some passion and have a real go and back your selves high up the pitch if we go ahead.

Can't agree. Saturday is one game that if we get anything out of, it is a bonus. More crucial are the games against Wimbledon and Peterborough.

Three or four confident draws/wins and a lot of the moaners will settle down. Nice to see a Saturday win at home though.

Well if anyone is happy with saying that anything we get from a home game in our OWN league is a bonus good luck to them but I for one want more from my team than that. Scunny did not even have to break sweat in the second half - they are on a good run at the moment but they are not Real Madrid .Our current management team have a record of 6 wins and 16 defeats from 27 home games in League 1. I do not deny they seem decent hard-working men but it is incredible they are still in a job.
The really sad thing about today was that both the team and the home fans looked as if they expected to lose. Mangan trying to set the crowd going before sending over another corner that did not clear the first man was another truly awful moment. We also had Deegan and Ogogo so close together they were virtually tripping over each other and so deep there was a back line of six sometimes, Whalley having to play in the middle because Grimmer kept running into the space where a winger should be and Junior Brown trying to outjump players six inches taller than him in the middle of the goal from set-pieces. This whole team is a tactical mess with patently unfit players being selected over fit ones. No doubt we will soon be headed for randomly chosen players becoming persona non grata and ten new players coming in January with nine of them being worse than the ones we have now. Yes - we have more League 1 ready players now but unfortunately the management will probably never be League 1 ready.
I will continue to go and will never boo the players or the manager but I share the frustrations of those who do. There are plenty of proven managers at this level who could try and improve the players and knit together a team that is more than the sum of its parts and we desperately need one NOW.

Played decent stuff in the first half but resorted to the long ball after SEB was replaced. So why replace him when he had just contributed his most telling moment?. Don't hold with the view that Scunthorpe didn't have to break sweat. Closed them down well and limited them to 2 shots on target and we had greater possession and that doesn't always happen. This is a long term "project" and has got to be given more time.
