Couldn't see it posted anywhere else but where has this money gone? I'm sure that this hasn't been mentioned previously, but will it show in next years accounts?

My guess would be on the running of the club, things like bills and wages. Just a guess though, sure others think Don has got it all stashed under his mattress.

My concern is the £1m+ we got to fund the academy yet still sold everything not bolted down. Plus £17m is a lot more than what Donald and Methven quoted our running costs to be after they'd done such a good job of stripping everything back.

I have no idea how much it costs to run the academy. In fact, I have no idea how much the outgoings at Sunderland were in total for the year tbh. As much as I'm not keen on Don he's no Oysten imo and I can easy see that money being used to fund the club. I'd say the reason why we touted the youngsters off is becasue we had a shortfall in income and the owner plugged it with sales instead of his own pocket as he simpy didn't have the money to fund it. I'm not happy about it but don't think anything untoward is happening here.

I'm not saying there's anything untoward but that's a massive amount of money considering the wage bill was massively reduced and we still had good revenue from season tickets and Wembley trips etc. I think it'll be in the next set of accounts that come out, it certainly wasn't in this years, so that will make for interesting reading and whether there's been any more creative accounting.

It's been like Oceans 11 with this lot in charge, we will be unravelling the financial twists and turns for years to come.
