It matters because RE is responsible for giving the impression that we are a club constantly in a civil war. We are a football club not a 24/7 protest vehicle.
Interesting that only one person has supported Everitt for that Tweet this afternoon. Anyone want to guess who ? On the wider point, Matt Southall is very active on social media, and fans are tagging him in to stuff. What do certain people aim to achieve, and what do they think that Matt Southall thinks when he reads this constant drip drip drip of sh1te ? It’s got to the stage now with certain people where it’s a crime to be happy or vaguely positive about Charlton.
https://www.castrust.org/2020/01/cast-meets-the-man-in-the-chair/ "While on the subject of the takeover, I ask Southall to clarify the structure of the deal. He confirms that ESI now own Charlton Athletic Football Club Limited and have a “legal obligation” within the next six months to complete the purchase of Charlton Athletic Holdings Limited, where the freehold of both the training ground and The Valley sit as assets. “Our first conversation with Roland’s representative was in mid to late August – you can’t even buy a house in three months. There is no need at all for fans to get concerned.” He is being true to his stated aims of openness and honesty, though given this club’s history, even a temporary separation of the footballing side from the assets will make some supporters jittery." So MS has given 2 interviews so far that contradict each other!!
Yes he has given two interviews that are contradictory, which is not good. But East Street Investments have got a legal obligation to buy the Company that owns rhe Freehold of the Valley and the Training ground, which I have no worry about. But what I do have a problem with is reading in the programme that we own the Valley and finding out in the CAST interview that we have not purchased it yet. It is duplicitous, hiding behind semantics.
According to Matt Southall ESI have a "Legal Obligation" to buy CHarlton Athletic Holdings Ltd in 6 months, which owns the freehold to The Valley and the training ground. Yet it took Douchbag only a few weeks to buy the lot. Let's hope this legal obligation is watertight, because MS's statements do raise questions. He also contradicted himself whenhe said ESI would listen to offers for LT then went on to say he would be with us for the rest of the season, but that is more understandable from a newcomer under pressure.
Exactly this Dick. Makes you wonder if MS is just the PR man and wether he knows the whole story himself. They are new owners in name only - Roland still owns the majority of the company (and potentially will do for another 6 months)
Bit more clarity here: My understanding is that it is the freehold ie the land of The Valley that sits in CAFC Holdings. Responsibility for and ownership of the stadium ie the buildings is with the Football Club.
I’ve read this interview now in full, and the key paragraph is below. Matt Southall will quickly come to understand that any open ended separation of the Valley from the club is an absolute red line for Charlton fans - particularly those of us who stayed loyal at Selhurst in the 80s. This needs to be resolved quickly and transparently, IMO.
Between TC's orgasmic wumming and Royston's Twitter abuse highlights, this thread is even more nauseating than usual this evening. Still gentlemen, crack on if you're enjoying it. I'll leave you to it.
You are going to get all sorts on every forum Lardi. ITTV has been largely negative about ESI from Day One...as have you. That doesn’t mean you are not welcome here ...you know you are.
Orgasmic wumming I posted.what I had been told weeks ago. Not wumming - just passing on info - said it then and same.still applies, couldn't give a flying ..... If you believe it or not.
More feedback to Everitt following his Tweet earlier. Don’t forget ....Rick is “the leader of our fanbase”
