Yes. I was replying to DD's comment: "Emi is suspended now so Kenny on the right with his place up for grabs." Leitner alongside Trybull is another possibility, as is Cantwell replacing Emi on the right.
IMO, yesterday’s win was massive, both in the way in which we destroyed QPR in the first 30 minutes (lots of their fans left when Pukki’s first went in) and the GD, as the Blades were only just behind us in that respect. Also, at long last, we’re conceding far fewer goals!!!! Edit – I saw some really funny tweets from Leeds’ fans re QPR’ not showing up’ etc. Could it be that we’re just a better team and by scoring 2 goals early on, the game was pretty much won.??
The guff from Leeds fans is beyond embarrassing. I’m glad the next game is home to Reading. I feel a bit better about missing Emi at home. Going away to a side fighting for their lives, would really need a Emi battling performance. At home, hopefully the crowd can help.
Agree that the win was impressive, but goal difference will be irrelevant for us at the end of the season
An excellent article. Whilst it's true we do need 11 points to guarantee an automatic place I think that there is probably a <10% chance that both chasing sides will exceed 90 points. Two points a game average is a pretty cracking pace that both have failed to achieve so far. Putting that into the calculations I reckon we need a maximum of seven points from our last six games. Given our current form I think that should be achievable.
Leeds fans really showing themselves up. Yet again. So pathetic. So, so many of these popping up on my feed.
Leeds fans just need to watch one of our games. It's like watching teams from different divisions. City's whole approach is a cut above theirs. Pukki's sprint back half a pitch in the 61st minute to tackle a QPR player just typifies the spirit of this side. Leeds are jaded and I think that their supporters now realise that they are destined to finish third and probable humiliation by Bristol City or Villa.
That’s the thing. They never watch our games. They can’t up their game when we don’t let them! Simple.
its surprising to see weve actually had 13 clean sheets this season (leeds 14/sheff 18). Thats higher than i expected.
The other event Leeds fans consistly ignore is our 3-1 domination of them at their place. Couldn't raise their game?
Leeds fans having a tough old time of it everywhere at the mo. Theyve been at the top all season, and told by every reporter going how special their team is and that the premier league is a guarantee for them. Of course they struggle when that stops being the case. Top at Christmas means nothing. Being able to play 20 minutes of sparkling high intensity attacking football every now and then means nothing. The sooner they (club and fans) stop grumbling about teams above them playing 'easier teams' and actually put the work in, the sooner they might improve. (Although its telling to look at their form before and after spygate. before spygate 2 points per game after spygate 1.79 points per game) And all this 'we deserve it because we are a big club' stuff is nonsense. You deserve it if the players in your current team can win enough games of football. End of.
