$12 million thoroughbred race down in ye pipeline...maybe!

Is this a bit of a pipe dream or a viable possibility? Frank Stronach had laid out a business proposition which would see the world's best thoroughbreds compete for a $12 million prize he then goes on to say it could rise to $20/$30 million down the line!

The title should read $12 million thoroughbred race down the pipeline.

 

A $12,000,000 ten furlong race.......we need to stick a rocket up Squires backside!!!!

 

So basically they are getting 12 owners to put 1 million in each! Sheik Mohammed will probably enter 10 horses in it and win like he wins the Dubai race pretty much every year. It will end up being like a match bet between the owners! Winner takes all the pot!

 

But good idea!! And interesting to watch

 

Ye olde pipeline can be a problem for sure.

 

They should surely restrict it to one horse per owner!

 

I think only 1 horse per owner should be allowed or else Coolmore and Godolphin would have 8 entered in it. Let the best horses around that feel they can tackle the 10 furlongs well. Like he said, he's not trying to take over from any of the big traditional meets, it's an interesting one, certainly would be a great view if the best horses worldwide did all line up for that prize money.

 

I sort of get the feeling that maybe second or third string Coolmore or Godolphin horses could crowd out the poorer bastards with a decent animal. Money to money.

 

Can you imagine the tactics employed by an owner with multiple entries? If it's in the U.S. the jockeys will be shooting each other... Stick - get Frankie on board yours...
