So who stays and plays in the Carabao Cup and who goes off to play the World Club Championship? Pick your 2 Squads? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50309214
Majority of team that played Arsenal stay for the three bob cup. First team plus some subs go and become world champions.
WCC Alison and Adrian Trent Matip (warm country) VVD Robertson Gini Hendo Keita Fab Salah Firm Mane Milner rest in carabaou
Saw that, good on them. Would have been even better to stay there and give the staff £2k each instead though
As per the champions league I am sure Klopp would want to bring youth team players along with the main squad to the world club cup. So I imagine it will literally be the U18s playing against Villa
Ffs no I hope we go out there and win it This year and next Unfortunately our game not suited to the hot weather imho
I think that's the general opinion amongst European nations, but it's a bit bigger further afield - smaller or not as well-watched confederations love watching the European big teams battle it out against them. It might not make headlines over here, but it'll do a great job of boosting our international fanbase which is huge.
No. We've never won it before and we get to be called world champions. Plus, we're out there playing the games regardless; can't be less or more games, may add well win it.
No it wouldn't. By using a hotel that abuses it's workers, in full knowledge of the abuse, you're condoning it. No amount of money/tips given to the staff makes up for that.
Oh, I hope we win it too... I certainly value it above things like league cup or Fa cup, but I wouldn't want it to jeopardise the league or champions league.... Certainly well well below those prizes.
Yes, imo. The league cup is a genuine tournament, albeit one that is way down on our current list of priorities. I know others disagree, but the CWC thing shouldn't even be on the list as far as I'm concerned. For me, it's nothing more than a show-piece competition that should be played in the close season. We really don't need it at that time of year.
Given that you have to be European champions to even get into the competition and it’s not very often a club gets the opportunity to play in it. And despite the level of opposition being lower (but still champions in there own parts of the world). If Arsenal were in it I’d want them to be trying to win it. Definitely above the league cup. It’ll be a good boost with international fans and an opportunity to play in and win a different competition than usual in front of passionate fans from around the world. I’d for sure go first team in the CWC and youth team in the LC.
