It's a pity about Jordan being mainly played on the right wing, 'cos he's not going to win that one either :emoticon-0101-sadsm

To be fair, Jordan never looked up to CM when he was here. He was often anonymous even if you could see he had some ability.

He was nowhere near Hutch, Schwarz, M'Vila in CM when he was here.

Suprise Hutch done so well he was only here a year and left in acrimonious circumstances. Then agian he is the only goalscoring midfielder I can remember playing for us and he was exactly what we had and have been missing for years.

That said I'm almost certain Reid used to start him on the right of midfield.

His departure left a very bad taste for many of us.

It should have come as no surprise because that's how we got him in the first place.
In fact throughout his career he followed the money every time.

Nothing wrong with that of course. He was a professional footballer looking for the best deal, but he came across as a mercenary to quite a few of us.

Doesn't seem to have effected his popularity
    Not my choice though.
Infact the two people who won the vote
Very good players but would not make my Sunderland 11

For me, Hutch more than any other player influenced the whole team he was such a top player.

The club was right to refuse his demands but it's a shame the way it ended we should have built around him. Standard for us.

One player I thought was great for us in his brief time was Eric Roy, similar to Kirchoff, touch of class but wasn't around for too long.

Like someone mentioned about Henderson being a right winger here did Hutchinson not usually play on the right like we had Schwarz on the left of midfield, similar with Zenden, Sess etc.

When Jordan left here he was still, very much, work in progress.
Quite a few, (as well as me), had doubts as to the timing, feeling he would have been better off with another couple of years developing.
And we were nearly right because when Brenden Rodgers replaced Dalglish he went about getting rid of all Kenny's signings.
There was lots of press speculation that he was looking to offload Jordan but he just kept his head down and continued to work at his game so that in the end Rodgers was glad he kept him and made him Captain.
