Craig Shakespeare's reign as Leicester manager is over after seven months
Craig Shakespeare has been sacked as manager of Leicester City, according to Sky sources.

The Foxes have won just once in eight Premier League games this season and the club have decided to part with Shakespeare less than 24 hours after a 1-1 draw with West Brom on Monday Night Football.

The 53-year-old is understood to have been told of the decision in a meeting after taking charge of a behind-closed-doors friendly against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday morning, which kicked-off at 11am.

    Meds’ must have kicked in
Feeling a little bit more optimistic than usual
Hopefully we don’t get beat tonight - a win would be great
Navigate the weekend game and let’s say we lose
We will be 7 points off 4th BUT we will have played nearly all the of the rivals for fourth except for Chelsea
Conversely Utd for example have only played us
Don’t get me wrong I would rather be in Utds shoes for example but feeling a little bit like we could get a bit of a run going :)
    Cue defeat tonight lmao

When Ranieri was sacked he was close to relegation. Now, Leicester 18th position and 6 points. Leicester should crawl back to Ranieri,
he is not a stupid man and would not come back.

Thought shakespeare looked a bit clueless but im surprised they have made the decision so soon to sack him.

Hes had some pretty tough games and hasnt really had any time to turn things round. The only conclusion i can come to this is that they never really wanted shakespeare to be managed in the first place , used him to keep the continuity to keep them up but after his run and mid table finish they felt they had to give him the job

The better result for them was Dortmund failing to win. That basically means Tottenham qualify for the next round.

It's a great position but it's in no way over till it's over. Spurs would have to lose 2 games out of 3 so....thry should make it but they have to take nothing for granted

Shakespeare was appointed to keep a couple players like vardy happy enough to stay up. Chicken burgers and that.

I would agree the owners there really have not got the brains or knowledge and have blown the chance to grown into a stable prem club. One amazing, loony season didn't make them into that. They bought badly and have gotten worse easy year.

Liverpool's Sadio Mane picked by Senegal despite recent hamstring injury
Sadio Mane has been named in Senegal's squad for their final World Cup Qualifiers next month, despite suffering a recent hamstring injury.

Mane missed Liverpool's goalless draw with Manchester United last weekend after hurting his hamstring on international duty against the Cape Verde Islands on October 7.

The forward was expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks but Senegal coach Aliou Cisse is convinced Mane will be fit enough to return for their forthcoming matches against South Africa on November 10 and 14.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman admits he is "maybe in crisis"
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted he is "maybe in crisis" following the club's poor start to the season.

Koeman finds himself under pressure as Everton host Arsenal at Goodison Park on Nissan Super Sunday with his side languishing in the lower reaches of the table.

Everton have won just two Premier League games this season and are 16th in the table with eight points from eight games following their 1-1 draw at Brighton on Sunday.
