So, in the near future a Bill will be put before Parliament to ensure that we will leave and be out of the EU by the end of January. As I understand it we will, however, still be in a binding relationship till the end of 2020, pending further Trade Negotiation, and this period MAY be extended. My curiosity though is how our three local, Pro Remain MP's will vote this time round. They have been 100% constant in ignoring the mandate of their constituents so far, and they have bleated on about needing a 'Peoples Vote' to confirm the Referendum, (what was the referendum if not a 'Peoples Vote?). Will they consider the vast drop in their vote as this 'Peoples Vote' or will their arrogance continue to the bitter end?
I asked most of the local MPs why they ignored their constituents vote... their response was along the lines of they could not vote for anything that would cost jobs.
I have just seen that Jess Phillip's the labour mp, is married to a cousin of Kev Phillips... that's good enough for me...she has to be the next labour leader
Is that the tart that can't even be bothered (or should I say 'bovvad') to speak properly, who wants to represent the country . . . . the ficko I won't be voting her
Labour about to become even more unelectable by voting long bailey in as leader. Might as well just appoint trotsky, Lenin or Stalin to the post and be done
Apparently there is a heated argument going on about Long-Bailey and whether she is a trotskyite or stalinist. These two left wing factions hate each other and RLB has appointed one type of them to be her campaign manager... this is why McDonnell is saying he is not taking sides in the leadership contest. FFS you could not make it up!
I just think that the ongoing 'spats' are a joy to behold - Labour are, quite clearly, intent on making themselves unelectable for the foreseeable future. It might, though, be in the best interests of the party and the country for Momentum to stand as a party in their own right and see what the electorate think of them, whilst allowing The Labour Party to resume its position for those holding Centre Left (rather than Communist) views.
Whilst, by no stretch of the imagination can I be called a 'supporter of any Political Party, I would prefer there to be an opposition Party in place that looked like an alternative Government. This way we, the electorate, could give the incumbents, whichever Party they be, a good kicking from time to time and let the other lot have a go. Apart from all else this gives less opportunity for any particular group getting above themselves and it curtails any tendency to go off on the fiddle!!!! It beggars belief that despite the recent results the extreme left still hasn't got the message that they can never gain power. If you want to make social changes, all well and good, but FIRST you have to be in government. The rest of the Labour Movement are going to have to face up the extreme left or we are going to have a one party state.
No, no, no, leave it all to Boris, he wants it done, and he wont sell off what family silver is left either. Its all safe in his hands, as long as he keeps those nasty socialist upstarts in their place, who cares.
And they would sell it all again had they got in this time. One thing you can say about the Labour party they never learn, never have and never will. As for Long -Bailey she's Corbyns acolyte, and if she gets the leaders job you wont notice the difference in the Labour parties policies.
As I recall it was a, by then very elderly Harold McMillan, Lord Stockton, who, during a debate on one of Maggie's Privatisation Bill's referred to it all, in a tired croaky voice, as 'like flogging orf the family silver'. Just about brought the House down. Now there was a one nation Tory. But even without anything of value to sell off, there's still scope for graft in the awarding of contracts to friends. If someone gets too cosy, thinking they are untouchable it what I would expect to go on.
Not sure if it is selling off the family silver as such....but yes a lot went cheap on first selling of the shares, and city sharks made money.. I think healthily competion is good in business as long as no 'cartel' is allowed it keeps prices down and produces variety and choice. For Rail and Water I just cannot see how natural monopolies can have competitors Even with Royal Mail they are not allowed to operate that much in cities but still have to deliver stuff to the outer hebrides for below cost and other mail services do not
the proposition of the labour party is so far removed from the pragmatic reality of those who want to get on in life is utterly ridiculous. ****ing imbeciles. who on earth do they think they represent
A very angry thought just struck me.. I am really pizzed off with the Labour Party for being so mismanaged that even a lying shagging barsteward like Bonko can beat them so easily in a a GE I am also really pizzed off with Sunderland for being so mismanaged that they have ended up in the turd division, with a crap team and a even worse crap manager.. What a friggin Christmas
