With him being over a second faster than everyone else apart from Hamilton in FP3 (who was nearly 3/4 second back) I’d say yes.
Max could likely get pole, but it's not going to be by 3/4s (famous last words). Should be much closer than that.
Yeah, it will be closer. For instance I don’t expect him to be 1.2 secs ahead of his own teammate. But you’d expect to have a bit of inkling after final practice.
Last time Red Bull looked this unbeatable it was Turkey, and that didn't go well. Still wondering who's hiding what, but it seems very likely that Red Bull is going to be the car to beat this year, and by some margin.
Part of me still wouldn't be shocked to see Merc lock out the front row... But don't think it's likely this time. I picked Max in the poll, so regardless of qualifying, he's not gunna win.
Is this where Mercedes turn up in Q1 with a completely different aero package covered in trollololololololol branding? With tokens, budget cap, and the wind tunnel handicap I can't see them catching Red Bull up if this gap is something like 0.5s. It could be track specific with testing and the race here in Bahrain, who knows, not long to find out now.
Tsunoda is my dark horse. Not to win the championship of course but he will be a big story this year I think. I’m a big fan already. And it helps that the Alfa Tauri looks very handy.
Alpha Tauri coming alive I’ve read elsewhere - but can’t vouch how true it is- that Honda have discovered game changing performance. The signs are there so far! Lets see!
For the good of the race I’m hoping Max might have damaged his floor and starts near the back of the grid Have McLaren got anything to turn up the wick or have they fell back a bit today?
