The Chairboys travel to North West Lancashire for a Tuesday evening fixture against the Cod Army that's just the 450 mile round trip for the Chairboys faithful to tackle for a midweek fixture who on earth at the EFL thinks this is in the interest of football fans Both teams go into the game after being involved exciting 3-2 games on Saturday but where as we were rejoicing a 90th minute winner they were hanging their heads after a 90th minute OG handed Donny the spoils. Gaz has no new injuries to worry about as far as we know but is likely to change a few tied legs to keep things fresh. Needless to say I will be staying at home for this one hoping we can maintain our unbeaten start to the season
450 mile round trip................Meh!! Try being a travelling green. Or anyone else playing us on a Tuesday. Salford will probably come by private jets.
I think I once saw an argument that playing these teams away on a Tuesday night and at home on a Saturday amassed more gate money overall. I don't know if that is correct but I wouldn't be surprised if our away following at such games wouldn't differ too much whether it be on a Tuesday or a Saturday, whereas our home gate would be higher on a Saturday than on a Tuesday night
I travel over 2000 miles to get to home games over the course of a season but our prospective owner has a 9000 mile round trip to get to one home game
