Why wouldn't they? Both had the ability to go past people as if they weren't there. Both had great vision and awareness. Cooper could have played in any league in the world. He chose to stay at Rangers and in Scotland because he liked living here and he had a very close family bond and he played most of his career for the club he loved. Both he and Gasgoine had amazing natural ability that was honed on the streets of council estates. Those types of players are now a thing of the past, unfortunately. He's the most skilful Scottish player I have ever seen live and i include the likes of Dalglish in that.
