I hate to be critical... I am grateful of the upturn in the 'dynamics' of the team - but - there is still quite a lot of room for improvement/ Harris needs to find 'proper' fullbacks ! .... Tutonda is (probably) good enough at LB - but the side were switched off at kick off - which meant that Tutonda wasn't in position to get anywhere near to prevent the cross into the box --- and then McKenzie decided to head back across the 6 yard area -- instead of playing safe and concede a corner...... I 'like' Robbie - but he's more of a midfielder than a 'proper' fullback. Wright has been one of the better players - and definitely one of my favourites - but - he had a big part in Swindon's first goal - causing Tutonda to panic and cover the middle instead of the LB position..... and for Swindon's 3rd goal - Wright was poor inasmuch he should never have allowed the forward to get to ball when it was crossed ((( and that should never have been allowed ))- hence the need for proper fullbacks........ other than that, and the cock ups by the referee, it was an entertaining game and great support by Gills fans.
And a big thank you for that. Off to Kenya for three months in 10 days so please keep these clips coming........
The penalty they had was payback to balance to books, but if you watch what happens the striker actually aims for the arm as to taking a shot. Thought it was a far better team and we are showing signs of being a team with a pair of B&^^%$KS now. let's see how we get on over the next few games. We still have to get out of the relegation zone first
I agree Lenny, without doubt it was a deliberate attempt to aim for the players arm, sadly as was seen from our penalty award the officiating was dreadful in both awards, although as you highlight the second one was to balance the books.
