I wonder if Lewis will get a negative test, that's his first obstacle.
Second will they allow him into Abu Dhabi without normal 14 day quarantine - F1 had exemption via charter flights on Monday!
Third will he get to the circuit before Friday if he have to isolate for 24 hrs after entering Abu Dhabi? I think he has to participate in a single session befor race, so Sat Quali is last chance.

Interesting that George is doing media stuff for Merc and Jack for Williams. It almost like it's a fair certainty that George will get another shot at the Merc.
I wonder if he will manage to beat Valtteri in quali now he has a bit more experience of the Merc?
I am sure Valtteri will be feeling the pressure.
    It's going to be tricky.

I can't imagine we will have as exciting a race as last weekend but we can hope :)

Oh well George's Merc drive for 2020 is over. Now he knows what a good car is, driving the Williams will be more frustrating than ever. Maybe he learned a few things that could help Williams next year, would be nice.
Bottas will breath a sigh of relief <laugh><laugh>.
    Good luck to Lewis.

Be interesting to see how Bottas performs this weekend then. Does he show he can match or beat Hamilton? Does he overdrive trying to impress and have a messy weekend? Or does Hamilton thrash him and increase doubts in Bottas' ability?

    It is an interesting one.
I guess having a single year contract for next year might be his savior. i.e. if he was on a multi year one they could have had a performance get out although I'm not sure they could activate that with him coming 2nd in drivers. I guess as it's 2 separate contracts then only way he is not driving for Merc next year is if he's paid off big time and I can't see Merc wanting the -ve publicity that would give!

Glad to hear Hamilton is well again, but boy it makes Russell missing out on that win more painful. Thought he'd get a second bite at the cherry.

You know what to do Merc! #Russell2021

I think next year is open in Toto's mind. George would drive the merc for expenses and food only I reckon. I do think a swap could happen.

as I have said before I think Bottas is safe as long as Toto is at the helm. If Toto steps back and someone else comes in , yes it could happen . What I think is more likely than that , is for Bottas to get dropped at some stage . But then again , merc don’t tend to treat drivers like that . So who knows

Much as I admire Lewis and all he has achieved it has become boring. Lewis always has said he wants competition. Toto has a responsibilty to the sport, the fans and Lewis's motivation to put George in the Merc next season. Even Liberty need this to happen. We need and want this to happen ( Apologies to Number 1)
    Make it happen Toto,
