and imagine paying extra to be a sky glass or sky q customer and watching highlights alongside the live action
couldn’t care less about Hamilton’s or Verstappen’ rights so deliberate manipulation and ignoring regulations is perfectly fine if it get the result people want?
Remember when barichello and Schumacher orchestrated the winner of us gp? The world went ape about fixing results. As I recall wolff was on the blower demanding masi didnt make the first virtual safety car a full one then. Seems to me this is now all over. And the anti climax on all 1 became.a.massive climax a few hours ago and another anti climax has happened again.
It's the biggest stain on this sport since I started watching in the late 80's.... And there have been a fair few.
Sky are reduced to a 4g feed and it's all broken up lol. All the tv must be pulled from the circuit at this point. Merc will go to the courts imo. 100%
Not sure about that but it is controversial in the extreme. I'd have thought the imola race was the biggest stain personally.
Race director decides that entertainment takes priority over rules. The decision to go green was simply for the show...and that's where we are at.
In the end mercedes were very conservative and could have gone long on stint 2 and walked that race but this is the biggest fix since the montreal screw job lol. (I'll leave that one too for people to recall if they do as it says what I think of last two races) In the end when wolff is calling masi mikey it does suggest too close a relationship. Like it or not the last two races have been the biggest hype I've seen in f1 in 10 years. Certainly since it went off the free to air mass media to sky.
Investigate Masi’s bank account. . It’s the only explanation for hin ignoring the rules to assist the disgusting fizzy energy drink company team to a world title
I wonder now if Mercedes will go down the “breach of contract” route in the courts. I’m guessing when they signed the contract, it stipulated that as part of the governance they have to abide by a set of rules?
I assume Mercedes will go to CAS and I can't see how they won't win there. What that'll achieve who knows, can a sport be in contempt of itself? I think my minds made up, highlights only for me next year, don't want to waste my time for another season for no reason. Wonder who the designated winner is next year, I do hope it's Georgey boy.
With the new regulations who knows what’s going to happen, still expect it to between Red Bull and Mercedes, but stranger things have happened.
As others have said, I think Mercedes' action is unlikely to succeed, but is good for the long term health of F1. Leap forward a couple of years - do we want to look back on this season and say "that was the season where Masi intervened and blatantly engineered a new WDC"; or "that was Masi-gate, where the intervention was so outrageous that multiple people were fired, the WDC wasn't confirmed until 3 months later, and new rules were written to ensure it could never happen again" One of the worst things about this is that Masi has created a no-win situation for pretty much everyone. Every outcome is harsh on someone, whether it's Max going down in the history books as having his first world title given to him by the Race Director; or Lewis going down in the history books as having his record-breaking 8th title given to him in a court room. Masi has created a situation where every outcome looks disreputable and corrupt, and for that he must go. But he didn't do it to please himself. He did it because Liberty bought a sport and wanted to turn it into 'a show'. That's why I support Mercedes action. Nothing can turn this disgrace into a good outcome. But, for the future, there has to be such a **** storm that F1 can't wriggle out of having a proper clear-out in personnel and in philosophy.
It will achieve the screw job was a shocker at the time but nothing was as shocking as Hell In A Cell with Undertaker and Mankind The result of this race is a farce. Once you allow a race director to manipulate and ignore safety regulations and then say he’s done nothing wrong your sport is ****ed
Guys do you seriously think that if the title could be bought that fiat wouldn't have bought it for Ferrari
