Gabriel looks very no nonsense and I do think it means he occasionally makes a rash challenge, he reminds me of Koscielny in his early seasons for us.
But A87 has got a valid point that was on topic which afcftw chose not to discuss. AFCFTW not replying just looks like aversion tactics after realising his point in the opening post was clichéd twaddle.
That's how it reads to you, the reality is I attempted to avoid this thread becoming this nonsense that it's become anyway.
Why not quote the rest of the sentence? "...against the teams lower down the table we need to pick up maximum points, home or away." Where I immediately explain my reasoning for the first half of the sentence... edit: and let's also realise I threw together a few lines for the sake of making sure we had a match thread. This was clearly not me trying to start a debate about "must win" games.
With or without the second bit... It's such a meaningless comment that you must see its the sort of thing that David Brent or Michael Owen would come out with.
It's the sort of thing you might expect to see when someone quickly writes a few lines (even calling it a lazy post) for the sake of having a thread there rather than the content of the OP.
Anyway back on topic... I think as long as we score more than them we should win. And if we win we'll hopefully bag all three points. And I also feel 3 points would be better than 1, but that 1 point would be better than 0. Ultimately if we don't concede then we'll probably avoid losing.
Mods... You'll be needing to tell afcftw to cut out the insults. We'll all await that with baited breath
A must win game if Arsenal have any hope of winning the title. But just imagine us losing with Benik Afobe scoring the winning goal....
For too long, people are not accepting things for what they are and I think we need to face the reality. Who and which players we bring in is immaterial. We could have Bale, Neymar, Suarez, Messi and Ronaldo in our squad. And we still wouldn't win the league. Why? Because Wenger is incapable of instilling the mentality and the focus which is needed to surmount a title challenge. Spending money can bring you the right quality of player that you would want (which we still haven't done) and can even bail the team out from a poor overall performance, but winning the league is about consistency. So man-management, tactical nous and decision-making are so important to get right. We unfortunately don't get it right.
He's looking really good at the moment, he's done very well for himself since leaving us. I hope he has a bad day tomorrow though!
I think you make some good points on here at times, but this is just ridiculous I'm afraid. With those players in our team with Sanchez, Ozil, Cech too, we'd be unstoppable !
