Not bothered by that, more interested in widening the gap to Fulham. Anyone else a little concerned as to why Radz has given an interview about us planning for Bielsa leaving? Or is that just a sensible strategy?
If true sensible planning, get a new guy in well before preseason training starts. Let it be known now we “might” need someone as there might be one or two that would jump at the chance so they’re “watching this space”
Thought I read somewhere that leeds were looking ahead and planning to have Bielsa for at least the next two years
Newcastle now being dragged into the relegation fight as slapped daft tonight by a very average Man Utd. The result has them only 3 points ahead of Fulham but much worse goal difference and Same number of games played. Fulham are on a roll as the barcodes are rolling backwards.
Final game of the season Fulham v Newcastle. Could be all over by then but what a significant game that could be.
Looks like someone agrees with me about Robbie Gotts, because he could well be the only player we have out on loan who has a future with Leeds Utd https://tbrfootball.com/has-robbie-gotts-increased-likelihood-of-leeds-role-next-season/
This is the player I watched at ER for the u23s, and uttered the unforgiveable, which the chap next to me agreed with. This was the game that Shackleton, Gotts & McCalmont tore the opposition apart, & in so doing, they interchanged positions so often that I could not with any accuracy tell which position they had been nominally assigned at kick-off. The unforgiveable? That was me comparing Gotts to Billy. He was worthy, though to be fair only in patches. Large patches. Couldn't believe I uttered the words. Was stunned when the other guy agreed. It's there, in him, but Bielsa needs to draw it out of him for all to see consistently. I believe he might.
If you remember last season Neil, Bielsa told Phil Hay he was feeling guilty about not playing Robbie Gotts because he as something special? Well I was surprised when we sent him to Lincoln City instead of Hudds Town where Carlos Corberan wanted him. It seems the club decided Championship was too big a step so sent him down thenA1. He was hardly played but shone when he did, but was then sat on the bench again. The club pulled him and sent him straight to Man Utd Juniors where he has smashed it
As a follow up to the thread I published a few weeks ago regarding John Kevin Augustin and how I thought the FiFA enquiry between RB Leipzig and Leeds Utd would be thrown out. I heard yesterday and has been confirmed this afternoon that his new team have refused to have him training with the first team and keep him with the kids. There are a lot of angry people involved and if I were Radz I would try and get my loan fee back
I'd compromise with them & sell them Roberts for only £20m, instead of the £40m we would normally expect. If they turn this down, they can have him for nothing!
