I've had an Xbox One for a few weeks now and think it's really good, had some issues but it's more of a games fault than the console. Recommend getting Dead Rising 3 and Ryse, really fun games and look great.
They're supposed to be amazing. I can't wait to get one. I'm going to hang on till the sky app becomes available as I stream most of my tv through my 360. A few of my mates have got them and they love it.
I did try it, but I didn't like having to turn on my Xbox One just to watch TV, so I disconnected it.
Just to balance it out... I friggin hate mine. What a waste of money. The games are all pathetic apart from the graphics which are outstanding in Ryse and Forza. I had Dead Rising 3 and got bored of it after 2 hours of the same repetitive actions and movements, the storyline is repetitive (run across town and retrieve this and bring it back here). I loved Ghosts, although it's not that much better than 360's effort. I only play Fifa nowadays and I'm told it will be April before anything half decent arrives on the console, by which time I'd expect it to be on sale for £300. To make matters worse, I took the advice of the dork in game and ditched my old 360. Not one thing has made me think I've made a good choice! I'm sure it will be the boss of all gaming in a year or two but right now, I feel robbed!
I like it but it seems like they have released without a whole host of basic features such as you can't currently rip CDs and you can't play music through USB currently either. I am sure I will find more issues just seems like a half hearted release by Microsoft also the fact that it does not look like skygo will be available anytime soon or the features relating to tv integration are not fully available at the moment. Overall I like the console but find the fact that some of even the most basic features are not currently available is pretty shambolic and embarrassing for an organisation as big as Microsoft
Yeah that's why I've waited. I use mine about 12 hours a day with tv and games. Can you watch sky go through the explorer?
That's a pain. I know my mate links his 360 through his Xbox one but the idea of having 2 machines when it's supposed to be an all in one machine is naff.
I think those apps will come soon. Might not be Microsoft fault it's not there yet, SKY maybe not have authorized the app yet, I dunno how these things work.
Yeah it's usually the case. All the companies that create tv apps for consoles tend to only start developing once it's out rather than along with the development of the console
Finally got to play on Titanfall yesterday after owning it for about a month and my mrs gave me a night off. What a game this is, I didn't believe the hype and I normally don't get involved too heavy in CoD online mode so was apprehensive about this game, but really, it wipes the floor with CoD, Battlefield and any other FPS I've ever played, it's perfection and I finally feel like I'm getting value from my Xbox One even though it's out on 360 as well now.
Console is starting to come together and the updates are coming fast, just hope to get 3d on the blueray player, external hard drive support, being able to rip CDs and play music whilst your gaming would be some if the next things I would like to see. Its certainly heading in the right direction though
Quite tempted to get an Xbox One now that Amazon are doing the console + Titanfall download for £349 Might wait a bit longer though till Batman and Halo drop.
