What a start !

 

Only 9% of the game has been played in our half soo far.

 

HT. 2-0.

Tremendous half from Arsenal. We've been all over them and barely given them a sniff. Jorginho has been really smart with his cute balls over the top, he's got such good vision as a deep-lying midfielder. He's so good at dictating the tempo of the game. Kiwior I think has also been good with his progressive passes and defending. He's starting to come into his own. Martinelli's looked lively and Havertz has put in a top performance as CF.

My only criticism is that we didn't score a 3rd to kill the game off. But hopefully we can do that early in the second half.

 

Omg Havertz nooo, that should have been 3! Argh, that’s a terrible miss!

 

Still can’t get over that Havertz miss. That would have sealed the game.

 

I get that we were never going to be able to play the full 90 at the intensity that we did in the first half, but we’re letting them have too much of the ball for my liking and they are starting to get in behind. Need to circulate the ball better and stay switched on.

 

Saka! 3-0! What a lovely finish into the bottom right hand corner!

Saka’s had Livramento on toast all game.

 

Best GD again. Just need Liverpool and City to start dropping some points!

Declan Rice's delivery is ****ing superb. Ever since Arteta put him on that left corner we've been smashing in those goals.

 

Odegaard, Havertz and Saka coming off for Smith-Rowe, Nelson and Nketiah.

 

Nice to see Odegaard and Saka getting some rest.

 

Aghhh Smith-Rowe almost makes it 5, but Dan Burn clears it off the line!

Shame about the consolation goal we conceded, but an utterly devastating performance, filled with lots of goals, and dominance across all phases of play.

I was worried we’d suffer from a CL hangover after a midweek game, but the lads proved me wrong and put in a top display.

Almost faultless from everyone

 

The subs did alright but its gonna be interesting when we have Zinchenko, Jesus, Partey, Tomiyasu and Timber back - our options off the bench will be exponentially better.

 

Saka now has 16 Goals and 7 assists (all comps) this Season

& Declan Rice now has 5 assists in 2024 - since he started taking corners.

 

Am I the only one who finds Martin Keown really ****ing tedious?

He's got that Classic old school British thing of won't give a real complement without saying a negative as well.
