Hopefully Saints can build on their superb win on Saturday. It should be a great game and hopefully Pardew will get a good reception from the Saints fans. Unfortunately I can't go but am going to the Norwich game. Saints last three results and scorers: QPR (a) 3-1 (Lambert, Puncheon, Ferdinand o.g.) Swansea (h) 1-1 (Schneiderlin) West Brom (a) 0-2 Newcastle last three results and scorers: Swansea (h) 1-2 (Ba) West Ham (h) 0-1 Liverpool (a) 1-1 (Cabaye) Newcastle are in poor form and are without some key players so a golden opportunity for Saints to pick up more points. Team news: Saints: Likely to be unchanged from Saturday's win over QPR. Richardson may return to the bench. Newcastle: Coloccini completes his 3 match suspension on Sunday. Yohan Cabaye requires surgery on his injured groin and will miss several weeks. However Papiss Cisse returns after missing the Swansea defeat due to conflict over international duty with Senegal. Jonas Gutierrez is also set to return. UPDATE Hatem Ben Arfa has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Papiss Cisse is a doubt.
I was reflecting wider public opinion If it works with you starting the thread this week we'll give you a contract but as with Roman you are liable to be sacked at any minute!
Can't see a clean sheet. I think it's become an unwritten rule that if a team can't score against us we will help them out.
Good evening Lambo. I only see them getting a late consolation once the game is lost. I think you will dominate against them as they are pony this season.
I know Newcastle have injuries and are in bad form, and we have been playing better. But Newcastle will still be better then QPR were last week. I'm hopeful that we could get a win but I'm not as confident as everyone else seems to be.
RSS I know what you mean mate. But I am an outsider with no emotion involved and I can't see past a Saints win given you getting that win last week and the poor form they are in.
0-0, most boring game in the history of football. So bad MotD don't even put it last they just don't show it altogether, and everyone involved in football pretends it never happened to hide the shame. Just because we like to keep everyone guessing.
Cabaye and Coloccini being out are the only things that give us a chance... but we do have a chance. I'll go for a plucky 2-1 loss.
I reckon 1-1 , newcastle are in poor form but it's not easy to win 2 games in a row in the premiership i think we will play well but have it down as a score draw. we have to concentrate on trying to get 4 points from these two home games anymore than that would obviously be great but it wont be easy. Same team again i think although i have a sneaky feeling gazzanigga may drop to the bench.
They're not in great form but frankly neither are we! One swallow doesn't make a summer. I think this will be a tougher game than most seem to think. I'd say both teams are equally likely to win, hopefully home advantage gives us the edge.
I fancy Saints to at least get a score draw out of this fixture, maybe even more if we have the rub of the green.
2-0, the theory being that we have to keep a clean sheet eventually, I'm sorry I don't have much more evidence than that! Lallana and Ramirez to score (Ramirez's is going to be from 5yrds outside the area into the bottom left hand corner!)
They were fearsome on the attack last year but seem to have lost thier way, unless Morgan and Jack provide excellent cover, they will rip us a new one. 3-2 to us
