Rumours he has asked to leave following lack of improvement to the squad.

Rumours are just that rumours, someone's seen he missed the game last night (I didn't even know we were playing tbh) and decided in their infinite wisdom of FM15 that he'll have requested a transfer.

Much like I fully expect Bruce to come out and say "I couldn't be happier with the squad. On paper at least, it looks formidable"

I wish they would sell him, and Wilson, and Almiron. Anything to make people wake up.

16 days and in all likelihood Bruce is going with Wilson and Gayle as a front two, Ryan Fraser somewhere in central midfield with Jeff Hendrick and Ritchie at left wing back.

I'd be pessimistic with that line-up in the Championship.

We did improve the squad, Joelinton wasn't in it

You'd be pessimistic with Ronaldo and Messi upfront though <laugh>

Ok, you're a fan and didn't know that we were playing.

    Now imagine you were ASM.
You're playing great but working under Steve Bruce.
    There are no reinforcements.
The fans are going to be booing (obvs not him)
You've been linked to a host of top performing teams with top managers and top training facilities.

    Rumours? Yeah course.

Points taken but we've seen how twitters itk accounts make up ****e. Any pressers reporting he's refusing to play yet? The French lads and their agents are usually quite blatant about these things and will have no trouble going to the press to get their side of the story out.

True about Twitter but I have the feeling this is correct.

Take out Wilson, ASM and Almiron and we are done for. ASM knows this, Wilson will regret signing for us instead of Villa and Almiron - well he's going to be the boy who lost his smile. It's currently fading.

He's mates with willock so I can see him doing that because they haven't signed him.

Max is far too good to be playing with lacelles, Hendrick Hayden and Fraser and he knows it.

Depends doesn't it? While I have no time for Bruce - we are in the same situation most years and our business is always done late, picking up the scraps and left overs. So him saying we need to wait for the "big boy's" isn't surprising. But say we get Willock, Willems - who still hasn't signed anywhere and then another decent signing like Gallagher or AMN etc and we'll be in a better place than when we finished last season.

The one's who've left played little or no part in the last year and only Willock, who may be back, had any kind of impact on the season.

Lost Carroll - I mean did we "lose" here?
Lost Saviet - pays for a decent meal out for the lads team bonding once a month.
    Lost Atsu - Bless.
Lost Lejuene - Probably was our best all round CB 2 years ago but injuries, age and contract situation meant it was always likely he'd leave. Rather Kell Watt's gets the odd game here and there than a 30+ year old with 2 dodgy knees.
Muto - potentially on the way out

Between those 5 we must be saving £100k a week on wages. So a few decent loans and a "marquee" £10m signing and we'll be in better shape than last year.

Staying a bit quiet currently because I was reasonably impressed by how we finished last season and if we continue that form it'll be another season of mid table mediocrity.

I suspect arsenal are sitting on a low ball offer from nufc for willock and nufc won't budge...

I mean there's a deal to be done there. Permanent/loan/option agreement something will get figured out. From what I've heard Willock and his old man were impressed by the way he was received so I think they want to come back, the club want him, just waiting on Arsenal really. Could be they want a years extension to his contract if we won't take an option agreement, could be they want a replacement or waiting for another deal to be tied up first etc etc.

Much like the takeover (you know the one where the threads STILL not at 3000 pages) we all know nothing and are guessing.

I do agree with you mate.. We did finish strong and if we can get Willock and one or 2 others to give the boys a lift we will be OK.

Just seen season tickets available for £300.. Im going for that price

The rumours are definitely true. And he made it quite clear at the end of last season he didn’t want another relegation battle.

He also made them Twitter comments about doing the same thing and expecting different results.

He wants out: and I don’t blame him.
