It was hilariously poor but some folk don't want to hear it but want to let people know they shouldn't say it cos they don't want to hear it. That was a ****ing joke of sloppiness. You'd know there was nothing riding on it for us.
A replacement for Endo should be a first signing. He's done well considering this season, but too slow and not dynamic enough going forward.
Game of football that meant nothing. Just enjoy it for what it was. 2 teams that were constantly attacking
Thought he did well tonight. But he is a stop-gap signing and will need replacing when the right man is available.
The game meant something to Villa, because if we had won and Spurs somehow beat City tomorrow, then Spurs would only be a point behind with a game to play. Villa are way at Palace, and with the way Palace are playing not a guaranteed win. Spurs are away at Sheff Utd and if Spurs win and Villa don't, Spurs would get the final Champions League spot. With a draw then Villa still need to win
Tbh couldn’t care about villa. Game meant nothing for us. Away game, 3rd secured, big game comes Sunday to go out on a high.
He’s solid enough in close combat. But really doesn’t have the legs to cover the ground when you compare him to over more dynamic players in there. As you say he’s done a job as a stop gap. Been less impressed with szobo this season, really faded and even Mac’s hit some poor form the last 2 months. All brand new though so can’t be too harsh on them.
He passes forward more than Hendo did, and his accuracy isn't bad. I've said all along he's slow and gets caught in possession more than I'd like - the PL pace is a little too much for him. If he was faster there'd be a player in there, but he was a bargain buy and he's done as well as I expected from him. He's obviously not one for the future.
It's a good job today's result didn't matter. Since we're already stuck in third... Won't go up or down. I might be annoyed at blowing that lead otherwise. We've got 90+ days to sort this mess out for the next season. I think Klopp and players are already on holiday
It's understandable that after a long hard season that extra motivation wasn't there. Considering that it was a dead rubber for us against a Villa side who had beaten both City and Arsenal at their gaff, and had everything to play for, it wasn't that bad a performance. We definitely need to work on the defence though, it's been iffy for a while.
Yeah right. Whatever. If you can seriously stand up and say you enjoyed seeing alisson basically play macallister into trouble stupidly fair enough.
I understand its a foreign concept for you, but I actually enjoy watching football. Regardless of who's playing, the level, the result, the mistakes, what ever, I enjoy watching it. Listening to you tear it to bits every week is tiring to say the least.
I know it was a nothing game to us but its Klopps second to last game so I expected a bit more from the players. Just seems a shame to me that the last 10 games of Klopps term the team has played very poorly. This could also be Salahs last few games for us and he looks a shadow of the player he was in his prime. It just feels like 2 legends going out on a whimper.
Almost every team in the league plays that triangle now - keeper to retreating midfielder (usually under pressure) who immediately plays it out wide to CB. Or he tries to turn and can turn into trouble. Either way, it's often very tight and mistakes are bound to happen. I can't say I'm fond of the move, but I'm not a coach. And I've long since abandoned the notion that the world should only act in ways that meet my approval.
It also wasn’t even a bad pass to Mac. He just mis controlled it and slipped. Not like he was under huge pressure and got tackled.
