Johnnie Jackson I thought it couldn't be done. So happy that JJ has proved me wrong Will the "Gallen Out, Roddy Out, Sandgaard Out" brigade be playing down this fantastic result? Who cares!
If that’s all, then nothing to worry about. In fact it’s good to see him bullying defenders - all part of the game. Lyle Taylor was the last striker we had that would do that regularly.
Yesterday's performance answers the question of whether it's the players or the manager. I listened to the commentary, and got the impression we got nothing from the ref. Reading the Sunderland fans' thread they also agree that they got nothing from the ref. I'll go along with the Valley Pass commentators I know they're completely unbiased.
Those who have been saying all season that the players are cheap rubbish and everyone involved in signing them should be sacked, were just looking for excuses to support their relentless negativity. Thomas Sandgaard has embarrassed them with his enthusiasm and guitar playing antics, and they are so insecure they can't get over it and they despise him personally. Because he doesn't conduct himself like they think he should (closed mouth, open wallet) they'll never accept him. There is a difference between opposition to injustice, and plain old intolerance. And most people can tell one from the other.
Some people have an agenda, the latest scapegoat is Roddy. Nobody, apart from people who work with him, know what he does. But that doesn't stop the mouthiest of our supporters attacking him, Sandgaard and Gallen. Sandgaard is a fake, whatever that means.
Some people have an agenda = are never happy / think they know better etc etc , now Adkins has gone they have to move on to something else to moan about. They must live the most unhappy lives
To be honest I thought the ref was pretty decent throughout the 90 mins. We were a team transformed on it from the first until last minute. Pressed them constantly every player done their bit but Dobson Leko and Pearce stood out for me . To come on after 30 mins and Solti as Pearce did real warrior. It was a great day out worth every penny of the £150 plus change spent
Very good article by Chris Dunlavy in the Football League Paper from yesterday about Adkins and what led to his departure. The owner, Roddy and Gallen don’t come off that well from it, so not just Keyboard warriors then
