Are we all Real Madrid fans today?
Do we wanna play City for the 4th time this Season?.. I would rather play Madrid.

Edit - Didn't realise City were playing tomorrow.

Happy with the team apart from Jorginho who I think has been a ghost the last few games. And Tomiyasu at LB is absolutely the right move, but he hasn’t got any proper minutes so my only concern is whether he’s sharp enough.

I’d play Rice as the 6, Partey or Smith-Rowe as the left 8 (due to their combination play and acceleration compared to Jorginho) with Odegaard as the right 8.

Don’t think this was ever going to happen, but not convinced we’ve got the optimal dynamics against an aggressive, physical Bayern side. If Jorginho is playing as the lone 6 tonight, we’re in for a long evening

I tend to agree that Rice would be better playing a more defensive role as he's quicker and more aggressive than Jorginho. Odegaard and ESR leaves us a bit light in DM positions though. A match fit Partey walks into this team though.

Hopefully those players can make an impact as subs at some point.

I actually agree with Arteta on this line up considering the options available and tbh this was the team and formation we should have started with versus Aston Villa last Sunday! It's all up to the defence tonight, we can nick this 0-1!! COYG!

    HT. 0-0.

I feel like we’ve been the slightly better side, but not much in it.

We had a couple of decent chances that we really should have taken, but we’ve been brave. Sustained pressure well, defended well, trying to go at them when we can and keeping the ball well.

Jorginho and Rice have both been fantastic. Odegaard, less so. He’s delaying the final pass too much and isn’t being decisive enough when he’s got the ball at his feet. Overall though, I’m quite happy with how we’ve played that half. Just need to be wary of their threats in transition and on the counter, then be clinical when we get a chance.

Honestly, this half has been terrible. Attacking players just not in it. And how Havertz has stayed on the pitch is a mystery. Been abysmal tonight.

The defending for that Kimmich goal was so amateurish. How did no-one track him?

One shot on target all half. How are we doing what we did in the Villa game? Following a good first half with an absolute woeful second.

FT. 1-0. We’re out of the CL.

I’m very disappointed with how we played in the second half. We had no nerve at all and made a lot of stupid and careless fouls. Not sure what those subs were either, but it totally unbalanced us and ruined our shape.

I wasn’t actually expecting us to go through tonight, but I wanted us to really take it to them and we just didn’t do it.

The thing that bothers me is that Bayern didn’t have to be that good to KO us. Not good enough from everyone tonight.

    Decent first half

    Non existent in the 2nd

Not good enough and didn't deserve to go through.
