What a bizarre tweet by mac. What has what he mentions got to do with a managers ability to get results or play well?!?!?
Totally agree.....do you honestly think the club are that daft? ****ing hope not, or we're in real trouble Nowt - but some are calling Mac the font of knowledge, and that's what he thinks of Manning. **** knows who's going to get the job, but it's looking more like a poisoned chalice with every day that goes by. I'd say I'm surprised with the lack of leadership at the helm of our club, but this is QPR so I'm not
It's being driven by the lack of comms coming out of the club.....I'm getting to the stage where I kinda don't care (obviously I do, but you know what I'm saying) as long as they get someone in sharpish
I'd sincerely hope not, but my trust in our lofty leaders has waned over the last few seasons especially after the January window. At this moment in time I wouldn't put anything past the halfheads !
I don't know if it's a good thing or not. Our best transfer dealings in recent times were the ones that went under the radar and the club kept quiet about, hopefully this is being done in the same way and a decent surprise name will be unveiled.
The trouble with speculation is it's normally wrong, just guess work..the likes of Campbell Sherwood et Al are always in the picture when we need a new manager, and I haven't seen one comment thinking either would be a good aquisition..I can't understand when they chose not to not renew MW contract for next season they wouldn't have anyone in position# incompetence at its highest level
Nothing much to report Beth. I was talking to some friends in the city about our team. They had Conspiracy Theories about the situation we're in. Theory 1. Get rid of those who are not under contract and those on higher wages to become more attractive to for a purchaser Theory2. Maybe a new board member together with a non executive director wishes to take a bigger interest in the team. Appoint a cheaper manager and staff. Lower the standing of the club maybe in a lower division and buy controlling shares at a lower price. Or 3. The exiting board dont know what they are doing! ( maybe thats why I dont post much at all) My extended family and me supported R's all our lives being from Kensal Green, The Rise, Queens Park, and Kensal Town area Would have kept Warburton
Post more mate. It's always nice to see a new face in here with more opinions.....we don't get many unfortunately.
Totally agree mate. Surely the hierachy knew or know who they want to replace Warbles. To not have this position sorted is really baffling. Why all the interviews? I, like Steelsy, am getting to the point of beyond caring. I forsee another mid table position at the very best. Oooh how exciting
Hopefully david mac aint having a say in the appointment of the next manager. He bases his opinion of a manager on the location of a club and how many fans they have.
Pretty radical change in style then…..nah, I doubt it. I suspect they have no idea who could be available and what it would take to attract them to Shepherds Bush. Let alone who they would actually want….
Or someone else whose season hasn't finished yet. I guess they also may need to go through a selection process, even if they have someone who they want and perhaps verbally has said they will take the job, but can't expect to finalise until contracts run out hopefully early June. I've seen it claimed Warburton's contract doesn't terminate to the end of this month either - no idea if that is correct or not.
Now Tomasson would be interesting. Probably has more pace than Austin and certainly a better first touch than Gray, so we're also getting a backup striker to Dykes as part of the deal. What's not to love? More seriously, his coaching career seems successful to date. Slight fly in the ointment might be that his experience to date is all European and it's now much harder to sign players from Europe, so he'd be more reliant on those around him for knowledge of 'local' signings.
