.... looks like a decent weekend in July. Easy on the train, some decent pubs and restaurants. https://berwickrangers.com/testimonial-season-announced-for-club-secretary-dennis-mcclea
Just mentioned that to my son. Be a decent day out. First team away to the states so be the U21 and U18 players.
Could be a good day although, whenever you go, there's always a few scruffy Mags in shirts. Still the younger players may include some we'd never heard of like Ballard, etc.
I don't know what it's like now but 30 years ago, Berwick used to have quite a big Sunderland following
Unless I was drunk lol. Honestly...7 years ago there was nothing there mate. Having said that...it would still be a great day out with fellow Sundland supporters no doubt. Just not a place to take your partner lol
I wonder if the new strip will make an appearance and have the same affect....... please log in to view this image
I presume that this is the offending Strip? please log in to view this image I quite liked it, still do.
Your post has reminded me of an earlier Strip Change that seemed to upset a lot of 'traditionalists at the time.. While Alan Brown Manager he was credited, (blamed) for the change to White shorts in 1961. But they stayed that way, till Bob Stokoe, arrived in 1972. Bob recieved the credit when the black shorts came back despite it being Mid Season. And Black they have stayed for the Home Strip, except for the couple of years when we had the red Le Coq you mentioned. (
I can see us taking a few U21’s to USA for the experience. I’d expect mostly an U18 side to feature in this game.
Loads of free parking at the ground Jarca, at least that was the case a few years ago. Just checked on the Football Ground Guide: Directions and Car Parking From The North From the A1 around Berwick and continue crossing the River Tweed. Then take the left turn towards Spittal (B6354). After about one mile, you will reach the entrance to the ground on your left. From The South From the A1, take the right turn towards Spittal (B6354). After about one mile, you will reach the entrance to the ground on your left. Car Parking There is plenty of free car parking available at the ground.
