Accurate, the break helped them loads as gave them a chance to refresh and come back. Think they would’ve fallen apart like the previous season without it.

Be interesting to see how they do in the PL. Florentino Luis is a promising player if they get him. Might be next Renato Sanches or actually good

 

Obviously we'll never know...but we'd won 5 on the bounce before the season was suspended.

On the other hand we took 24 points from 29 after the resumption so would have been hard to better that. Hopefully you'll enjoy watching us play, we always set out to play good football with lots of passing and movement. It should make for open end to end games and as long as the other team is willing to go toe to toe will be very entertaining.

 

You desperately need a quality striker mate, or you'll go straight back down imo. You struggled to score goals at times in the Championship, so despite all your possession you’ll struggle and get mugged off on the counter. See Norwich for details.

 

Problem is the entire football world knows we need at least one so that will be our entire budget blown on one player

 

Quality PL level strikers cost a fortune anyway mate. So I doubt your need makes a difference tbh. You’re going to have to take a punt on a player who’s not proven in the PL imo. Unless you take someone like Pukki and hope he’s not a quarter of a season wonder.

If we can get a decent centre half, a keeper and a striker we could do some serious damage in this league before Christmas. Then we just need a third wave of coronavirus to give us a rest!

 

Agreed about the mugged off on the counter as I think a lot of teams will set up to hit us that way. As we've waited a generation to get back in the big time and are coming to play football not rope a dope that would be disappointing.

The striker debate is interesting, we've had two 30 goal a season stikers before and not got anywhere near promotion. This time we had a team player leading the line, he still scored a decent amount of goals and we romped it.

 

We don't even need a quality striker. Just someone other than Bamford. There are no words for some of the sitters that lad manages to skew wide.

 

On the other hand Jammy, we're not bad on the counter ourselves. We might have more opportunities to counter playing better teams. I can't see the majority of the PL teams coming and parking the bus against a newly promoted side.

2 or 3 correct signings and we might surprise a few.
